Don't add hyperlinks.

Add it like this-

Chapter 1- page 1

Chaptet 2- page 2

& so on.

Readers will navigate the pages themselves this way & you won't have to worry about hyperlinks. 😊

Now I get the why Bajaj was happy on hearing Prerna's refusal to get papers from Moloy Basu while his own daughter did that. All the pieces are falling into place. Now what's Prerna going to do when Bajaj's coming to get her.
