When I saw the promo of this show, I was actually curious why Azaan married Noor his best friend. And I am someone who is totally against the two wives concept. It really irks me when i see a guy with two wives or two ladies in a show. I wanted to see how they justify this concept.
Most people assumed it might be Kalank types where Shayra might be dying which is why Azaan is marrying Noor or Shayra can't conceive(it would have been quite typical and stupid if they showed that) but I always felt it could be something more. Glad they didn't show something typical.
What attracted me towards the show at the first place was the setup. It's so gorgeous and royal. I loved it. I was hoping they don't show a stupid story with such a royal sets, but glad they didn't disappoint me. I would have been quite disappointed if they showed Azaan marrying Noor for Azaan's mom promise to Noor's mom, but they didnt show that which is good.
Pairing wise I m liking Azaan-Shayra's chemistry and Azaan-Noor's friendship. I m liking Diana Khan aka Shayra's acting a lot, she is quite natural as an actress but she looks totally different from her Parvarish days. I am surprised one can change some much in three years, she looked like just a teenager in 2016. Arjit Taneja and Samiksha Jaiswal are also playing their roles well.
The supporting cast of the show is quite strong with the likes of Simone Singh, Amrapali Gupta, Mohammad Nazim... but Rehaan Roy's acting as Khalid surprised me the most. I have seen him in Guddan Tumse Naa Ho Payega and I liked his acting as Perv there, but he is nailing it as Khalid. Loving him as Khalid. His character also seems a bit different (a mentally disturbed guy who is misunderstood but also not a positive character either)
The show has started well and I hope they keep Shayra-Noor's bonding positive and I don't want them to fight for Azaan. From what I see the promo, Faiz and Noor's mom are gonna die poor Noor, I feel bad for her. But what I am curious to see is that why Shayra is gonna be blamed for it and looks like Shayra and Azaan will support Noor a lot in her tough times and that's where this second nikaah will come. Hope they justify the storyline well here and they should handle the concept carefully as it's a very sensitive concept.
