I too read about this in the morning. Was quite shocked. What is everyone saying? Why are they divorcing. They have said personality differences in their statement.

Edit: Btw are you watching Arthdal Chronicles? And did you watch encounter/ boyfriend. It was such a fresh and fantastic show... especially park bo gum 😍 the ending was a little meh, but still one time watch for sure.

I woke up to this news yesterday and shared it with our gang... They too are unhappy about it. Guess nobody saw it coming! 😒

@Shru- Yup SHK quoted personality differences in her statement, while SJK refrained from saying anything. He simply apologized to their fans.

Nope hun couldn't catch either of those. I saw a few scenes of the first two epis of Encounter though, it looked good. SHK looked really pretty in it.

IKR it was too shocking for me too, they looked so happy in their wedding pictures. I still can't believe they couldn't work out their differences and are getting divorced.

I'm so sorry they didn't get their happy ending like YSJ and KMY 🤔

And ppl on YT and other sites are saying such terrible stuff about them, like HK is fickle minded or her lack of ability to produce a baby is the reason or she had an affair with PBG. Bo-gum actually had to issue a statement clarifying it all and asked to be left out of this. Truly gross stuff! And they call themselves their fans arghhh 😡

Wow people can be really nasty jerks. I have seen a lot of fans of SJK & PBG be especially nasty to SHK during the start of Encounter. And the saddest part being that most of them were girls. They were horrified that "their" PBG would be romancing a woman so many years older than him. They found her TOO OLD, they thought it was wrong of her to romance SJK's best friend who calls her SIL in real life and what not. People who actually enjoy age difference dramas suddenly found it wrong when it was happening in a way in real life. Socho! 😆

One thing I have to admit here while watching Encounter even I felt that their scenes together were a lot bolder than the usual Kdramas...especially since we have seen how chaste were the kisses between KMY & YSJ in DOTS. But that really doesnt mean you dump the blame on poor PBG. As always many people cannot differentiate between drama & real life.

@Shru- One thing I've noticed in K-Dramas and their fans, esp the Korean lot, is that they are pretty big on idolizing their celebs. Like place them on a pedestal and expect them to be prim and proper at all times. The celebs face extreme scrutiny from their fans who have microscopic vision when it comes to them. I don't think I've seen that extreme level of scrutiny in our country (Or maybe I'm wrong 🤔), I mean there are trolls everywhere but K-fans are a little too harsh and intimidating. If it was possible they might even peep into JK/HK's bedroom to know the details. You know what i'm saying right?

Recently my YT feed showed me a video about a reporter questioning her on the divorce, she answered a few questions but this idiot kept pestering her for more "information", she got very uncomfortable and teary and left midway. A few minutes later she came back with teary-puffy eyes and apologized for leaving abruptly. She said that "she will always love JK but this is out of her control".

I mean come on give the girl a break! And not only her, cut them both some slack. They don't owe you their lives. They both are going through a very personal and difficult phase. The least you can do is stop breathing down their necks. No matter what went wrong or whose fault it was, they still loved each other. Give them the freaking space to grieve.

OMG this sounds terrible! 😭 These journos are nothing but vultures (Rajdeep Sardesai one of our own famous journalist is on record for proudly calling journalists as vultures!!😳) they will stop at nothing for the next juicy bite 🤢

Thats a fake video. That video was basically award ceremony where she goy teary eyed. It was taken way back in 2012. Journalists manipulated the video. She nevee does press conference unless she ia promoting a drama or movie.
