This is a very interesting perspective. IMO, the family is primarily to blame because they have never tried to make things normal for Mishti and Kuhu. And Badi Maa is so hyper and emotional that Mishti and Kuhu are forced to act normal and happy in front of her. The rishta switch made it worse because noone in that family bothered to check on Kuhu or her feelings. This has solidified her belief that no one cares for her and Mishti is insensitive to her feelings.
This.. this is the issue and crux of Kuhu's characterization. The only one who really observes her is chachi who is fairly insensitive in the way she goes about this. Varsha is sensitive but tends to be lost in the dim of this family's "noise"

None of this justifies Kuhu's tantrums though but I really hope Kuhu stands by Mishti at the end of this track. I know she is blind in Kunal's love at this point but it will be wonderful to see her rise above it and do the right thing at the end of this track.
A lot of her tantrums are tedi ungli to get the ghee out. What is amazing about BigBen is that she has latched on to this hole that none of the Maheshwaris have noticed ever. Kuhu does not know she is being played. In the past her thunder has almost always been stolen by Mishti so she assumes the same is happening now. There is no tantrum here. She is owning her relationship (that is one thing I love about this girl!) and doing something about it.
An example from Monday's episode... Bade Papa ask Mishti if she is okay with the Rishta swap and Mishti says, yes, I have you guys... Whao.. wait.. so there is a problem which she does not care for because of BP and BM? Really!? When did that happen!... They give Mishti these kind of ambiguous dialogues that allow her to bail out on Kuhu. She cannot drop the ball or claim fame when it suits her (which is a bone i need to pick with Abir too!)
