The minute details, the grace in movements between professional dancer and other dancer are clearly visible in dance. Besides people keep forgetting it was difference in two characters. One was aggressive and insecure; other was calm, secure and soft. The difference in some steps/scenes is only due to that.

Is not about who is better but who managed to impress audience more. That clearly was Karishma. Madhuri is more apt for classical forms and Karishma for contemporary. Karishma did win awards for DTPH.

Well Karishma did. She went on to win awards too. Public remembers her more. I don't think Chopra's would do that. It's like Sunny blaming SRK for Darr.

Madhuri has better movies to boost her talent like Beta, Devdas. In DTPH Karishma suited the role more and some viewers wanted SRK & Karishma to unite.

Even now, when I watch the movie for like 5356676th time, I still tear up when I watch the scene where Karisma and SRK meet at the lake side and confront.

Karisma was phenomenal in DTPH ❤️

Simply because you or some others think she was a miscast, doesn't make her a miscast. Nor can you all be Yash Chopra or better than him. Karishma was annoying, childish, stubborn as a character in whole film who thought it was her right to get SRK's love. Except in last few scenes where she shed her childish tantrums. In fact SRK-Madhuri looked better together. You can continue loving fake, cosmetic procedures product (for film only) Karishma. It's well known how Karishma had resorted to cosmetic procedures out of insecurity to look younger and slimmer. I am sorry I respond the way you respond. So sorry, but not sorry. That's the thing people don't think twice before using crass, inappropriate words against other stars. You using them invite the same for your star. I am happy with loving a natural Madhuri in film and her character too which was supposed to be soft, charming and natural.

Chopras WOULD do that - in the 90's the press wrote a lot about their lame attempts at shortchanging Madhuri. And it's not about "suiting the role more", but the contrast between what's down to earth and available and what is from a different world, so to speak - an unattainable, indescribable (nice way of justifying the deficiencies of the script) ideal woman. The dance-off only emphasizes how desperate Karishma's character is, but even though "some viewers" - understandably - rooted for the underdog, Rahul would have never fallen for the girl. Needless to add, Madhuri showed stunning non-classical moves in many films, so the idea that the dance-off somehow proves Karishma is a better dancer is ridiculous.

Why is nobody casting her... She look gorgeous

They should have taken Karishma as a judge instead of Kareena.. the stark contrast comes off screen.. while Karishma looks so warm and friendly on screen, Kareena is the exact opposite.. cold and sitting on a pedestal types
