Part-15

It was the day of the first court hearing. All got ready for the day. Mrs Iyer and Mrs Bhalla prayed for Ishra in the temple of their own houses then gave prasad to them after putting tilak on their foreheads and blessed them. Both the families came out of the houses at the same time. Mrs Iyer went to Raman and give prasad and blessed him while Mrs Bhalla also did the same with Ishita. All smiled looking at them remembering their old time when both Mrs Iyer and Mrs Bhalla used to give prasad to all children considering all a single family. Shravadiru were looking at them confused why their grandmothers giving special preference to Ishra and unable to hold their confusion, they asked,

Ruhi-Papa aur Ishiat Aunty ka koi exam hai kya??

All looked at them while Adi said,

Adi-Ha, koi exam hai kya jo pati aur dadi aap dono ko special treat kar rhi hai.

Ruhi-Ha, tilak bhi lagaya aur prasad bhi diya.

Adi-Jaise aap hamare exam ke time karte ho.

Mrs Bhalla-Ha puttar, yeh hi samajh lo ki tumhare mummy papa ka aaj ek bhot important exam hai. Isliye inhe bhagwan ji ke ashirwad ki jarurat hai.

Mrs Iyer-Aur tum dono ki best wishes ki bhi jarurat hai kanna.

Adiru-Sachchi Mumma/papa?

Adiru went to them and asked them to bend down. They kissed their cheeks and wished both Ishra. Mihir went to drop kids to school and after sometime Ishra along with Bandu left to court wishing for the good not knowing what will happen in court. Before entering the courtroom, Ishra wished each other best of luck. Soon Shabbu too came there. Shagun was nervous but Subbu was confident. Ishra and Bandu looked at them with hatred but soon change their view. Soon the court proceedings started and both lawyers started presenting their side views.

Neil-Your honour. Six years back Mr Subramaniyam Iyer and Miss Ishita Iyer got divorced. Unka ek chota beta bhi tha, Adi, kuch hi mahine ka, us samay uski custody uski ma Ishita Iyer ne li thi aur Subramaniyam Iyer ko us samay koi objection bhi nhi tha. Infact, he was not even interested in his son but he was more interested in earning money. Same with Mr Raman Kumar Bhalla and Miss.. Sorry Mrs Shagun Iyer. They got divorced six years back and they had a few months old daughter also, Ruhi. Uski custody bhi mere client Raman bhalla ko di gayi thi, and Shagun had no objection at that time. Mr and Mrs Subrmaniyam Iyer didn’t want the custody of their children at that time because it may hindare in their career. They were always interested to earn more and more money to have a luxurious life forever. They never thought of their children. We all know that a baby needs his mother the most in initial years but Shagun didn’t even give that time to her daughter. They just ran away from their responsibilities and never tried to meet their children in the last six years. And now they remembered their children after a very long time. They just want to disturb the happy life of my clients. Why did they left them if they really loved them?

Shabbu’s lawyer-Your honour, my clients really loves their children. Yes, I accept it that my clients left their children when they needed most just because they wanted to make their career but this is not a crime. We all want to be successful in our life. That time, Mrs Shagun Iyer didn’t take the responsibility of her daughter as it was very difficult for her to be a single working mother. She thought that her daughter will get the love of the whole family and financial support from his father…

Neil-At that time, Mr Raman Bhalla was also not so financial stable. He had just started his small restaurant but Shagun was also working, even she got the promotion also. And if a father can only give financial support to his child when both parents are working then why didn't Mr Subramaniyam Iyer took that responsibility?

Sabbu’s lawyer-Because he thought that his child needs his mother most at that time. She had her family support also and she was working also….

Neil-your honour, these are all baseless. Mr Raman Bhalla, Miss Iyer and Mr and Mrs Subramaniyam Iyer, they all were working six years back and were equally strong financial. One side, a mother left her daughter and other side, a father left his son for their career but Raman and Ishita never left their children’s side. They fulfilled the responsibility of a father and mother both alone and never made their children to be longing for their missing father or mother. They love their children too much.

Shabbu”s lawyer-Your honour, my clients, Mr and Mrs Subramaniyam Iyer are well settled now, financially stable and married also unlike Mr Raman Bhalla and Miss Ishita Iyer. They are single. They can give everything to their children but not the love of both parents. This is the truth that they are single parent but my clients can give both parent’s love to them.

Then Neil told that Ishra were friends along with business partners and how Shabbu used to have problems with their friendship and how and why they got divorced. He requested to the judge not to separate Ishra from their children. After some more arguments, court hearing came to an end and Judge gave another date for the next hearing. All left. Ishra were sad and worried, they left to their work directly while Bandu went back to the house to inform the families about the court hearing. Everyone was worried but they were not showing it in front of the kids while kids could sense that something is not good.

In evening, Raman was returning back to home along with his siblings when he received a call from Bala that Ishita had locked herself in her cabin and when Abhi tried to talk to her, she said that she wants to be alone but now she is neither talking to anyone nor picking their calls. Raman immediately came back to the office and went to Ishita’s cabin. They knocked on the door but she didn’t reply. That’s when Abhi came taking the spare keys and opened the door. Raman wanted to go first but couldn’t voice it out but Simmi noticed him and called Abhi when he was about to go inside. She signed towards Raman and he opened the door for him. Raman thanked him and went inside. Abhi was about to go behind him but Simmi stopped him and told him let Raman handle Ishita. Raman entered the cabin which was dark and looked around to see Ishita but he couldn't see her. He moved towards the back of the couch and finally he saw her sitting on floor hugging her knees and looking at the pic of the day they came to delhi in laptop. It was the photo of both the families. She was staring at the photo while few tears were flowing from her eyes. Raman sat beside her and placed his hand under her face making her tears fall on his hand.

Raman-Subbu is always the only reason for these tears na.

She neither changed her view nor said anything, just kept her head on his shoulder.

R-Isse main insecurity kahu ya dar, apne bete ko khone ka ya….

I-Hamari family ke bikharne ka. Itne saal bad hum sab sath aaye the. Hum sab kitne khush the. Adi and Ruhi are not just our children but they the lifeline of us. I remember it was very difficult for us, Iyers to start a new life without Bhalla. We used to remember every small moment we, both the families spent together at every single second. I had seen Amma Appa crying for our lost time and that time, Adi became the reason of our new life. Shravan was also there but Vandu Akka ne us situation mein apne bete se jyada Adi ka dhyan rakha. You know what, I gave birth to Adi but he got more love and pampering from my family than me. Sabka rishta alag hai par pyaar vahi hai. And I know same happened with you all also. I'm not worried to lose my son but I'm worried to see my family to get broken once again….

R-Shshsh…. Ishita listen….

I-No, you listen to me. You think that I'm scared and insecured. Yes I'm. I'm scared. You know what our parents arranged a path at home tomorrow. Un logo ne jabse yeh Subbu aur Shagun ki khabar suni hai, bhagwan se bas hamare liye hi dua karte hai. I'm not thinking negative but this is a possibility….

Ishita started crying completing making him to cry also. He hugged her and both cried hugging other while rest came there hearing them and all had tears in their eyes seeing them like that after so many years. This was the second time they saw them weak and broken, first when they decided to get separate and secondly when they are together but they may get separated from their children, their gf/bf, their life. Ishra were always strong to fight back in every situation. They had handled their children, family and business all till now. After sometime they composed themselves and then went back to the house thinking Adiru must be waiting for them. They reached home only to see Shravadiru were playing and the moment Adiru saw Ishra, they came running to them happily and hugged them. Ishra smiled, first time in the day seeing their children happy and hugged them back. Soon both families had dinner. That night Ishra spent their night with adiru only where Adiru were busy talking about their day in school.

Next day, all stayed at home only as their parents had kept the shanti path. Neil and Ishra were in regular contact with the lawyer to know what Subbu and Shagun are going to do next. Remaining days also passed away but Ishra and Neil didn't get any information. They were following Subbu and Shagun to know what they are planning. One day before the second hearing, Subbu told the lawyer that he will give a statement in the court which will help them to get the custody but he didn't inform anything more. Lawyer informed same to Neil and Ishra. Neil and Ishra had no choice just to wait for the next day impatiently. ...

Now after so many years both Raman and Ishita are happy

even Ruhi and Adi are so happy and now Shagun and Subbu wants custody of their kids

Shagun had left Raman and Ruhi to pursue her career , while Subbu too left his son Adi

to also pursue his career both are now married and well settled and want their kids

I just feel its wrong yes Raman and Ishita are single parents but they both love their children

dearly

the lawyer stated that Shaugun and Subbu can now give their children love of both parents

while Raman and Ishita cannot as they single its also true that a child does need both

parents to have a healthy growth

maybe Raman and Ishita should consider marrying for the sake of their children otherwise

they can lose them

whatever the reason of the custody I hope Shagun and Shubbu loses I firmly believe

they have abandon their kids and now they want them its wrong
