Yes, I am surprised it did not do well at the BO. It was entertaining, as well. I watched it at the theater and remember really liking it.

Cult film doesn't have to be a box office hit or even be popular on television. Cult literally means the film is loved and followed by a group of people over the years, even though it's small, they are enough to make loud noise for it. Though I don't think Lootera is really a cult film. Critically acclaimed yes, but cult means its characters and dialogues should be popular. Like GOW is a Flop box office wise, and also not popular on television. But its characters are popular, and dialogues have became a cultural phenomenon.
