Why is Lootera put on a pedestal here?

According to Ormax WOM tracker ---

We see how bad the WOM was and reflected on box office as well. But if we see on media and the online demographic, they glorify this film as a cult classic?

I think this is what BOI's gripe with that article on media and "European" films are. "Perception ain't always the reality."

Any thoughts?

Every site might view a film differently. Box Office Collections are universal 😳

I can apply that with using Alia as an example as well.

Look at the WOM between SOTY vs Dear Zindagi, Udta Punjab and Highway. Yet the narrative on media and online portals on these films are poles apart. Is there that much disconnect between perception and reality? 😵

There is nothing called perception or reality here. People who like these so-called European films are a reality, they are not the imaginary beings. Even if they are small in number, they are the ones who are expected to discuss movies online. Not the casual audience who watch movies only for timepass.
