The episode starts with Teji giving Veerji his shawl..Veerji asks if the kids have fallen asleep...Teji is in thougths..Veerji asks whats the matter..Teji says, maybe Daljeet spoke a little too much about what we have to give the grooms..the car and all is a little bit too expensive at 4-5 lackhs...Veerji reassures her that everything will work out fine as the crops this year have been really good and that they will sell for good also..he also reassures her that next year even Meher's marriage they will do it with all grandeur...Teji looks convinced...

Back in India, everyones busy preparing for Heer's marriage...Veerji and Balwant and calculating things for the marriage....someone comes..Meher opens the door and its Babaji...they all welcome him...and Veerji asks Meher to get Lassi for Babaji..Meher goes the kitchen and teases Heer and says someone has come ..Heer looks on expectantly..Meher says dont look like Kajol from DDLJ, you Ajay has not come..Heer makes a face and Meher says Babaji has come...they are all making roti's, Meher goes to take something from the plate and Heer does not let her..Meher complains to Teji that Heer never lets her eat anything...Teji looks at them and smiles..Heer tells Teji to tell her something...she has become fat..Teji says let her eat na..she will eat here as much as she wants, not at her inlaws place..Daljeet comes in and says Heer is saying correct..Meher has indeed become fat and that guys these days look at figure before looking at the eyes..Meher teases Daljeet for doing work..and Teji tells her to stop ...

Veerji and everyone is shocked and worried.Meher thinks, the guy didnt come? Heer is disappointed...so is Veerji and Teji...Daljeet looks sarcastic as well..Veerji says we were waiting for him from morning..we thought he would come with you...Manjeet says he must have come..des-pardesh issues are a lil different...Veerji says but we checked the flight was on time...Manjeet's wife says to Veerji you can see the groom in the marriage, the concept of seeing a guy is rather recent...earlier they used to get married with just the photo..Balwant agrees that they should not stop the ceremony and go ahead with it..Veerji is not convinces..Teji says she will get the things for the ceremony...

I have made this mistake once,I will not do it again! Its the life of my daughter...Balwant asks why he is talking like this at this point..Daljeet unable to keep her chattering mouth shut says what will people say, if the engagement breaks off then you know tht in India, no one will wanna marry Heer...why didnt you think of this when your friend broke off the alliance..Veerji and Teji look on..Balwant agrees with Daljeet(Joru ka gulam!!) Balwant says how many times do you want to break Heers engagement...he says to Teji that they have to understand...Veerji says we are girls side so what? Veerji comes out storming and comes face to face with Manjeet and tells they have to sto the engagement for two to three days..everyone is shocked...Veerji says I want to see your son once...this is not a condition by my daughter..I know my daughter will marry anyone I say..but this is my daughters life and i cannot break her trust...Manjeet is shocked and asks Veerji what is he saying..Someone comes in the house and says, He is not wrong, how can the marriage happen without seeing the groom? and everyone turns to see who it is..and the epi ends..:D.
