So the director did have a limited choice. Shahid and only Shahid at 38 can play the role of a college student so convincingly and strongly ⭐️

Kabir Singh is rock steady on Tuesday as it has a very limited drop from Monday. The film should collect in the 16 crore nett range on Tuesday which would mean the film has hardly dropped 5% from Monday which is fantastic trending at these levels.

This will take the film to around 104 crore nett in just five days and looking at the trend so far the film could go anywhere. The drop on Tuesday was at the bigger multiplexes while mass centres showed no drop and some even went up.

It has already crossed the first week business of all releases this year barring one in just five days and this includes some films which had extended eight day first weeks. The only film of which it has not crossed teh first week business of Bharat but it will be no surprise if it crosses the lifetime business of that film considering the first five days of this film.

The first week business of this film now looks like topping 130 crore nett

Kabir Singh Has Practically No Drop On Tuesday

Kabir Singh is on a huge run as the figures on Tuesday were practically the same as Monday. The film across the centres of UP, CPCI, Rajasthan and Gujarat was either up or similar on Tuesday. The minor drop that did come was from the metro multiplexes.

The film collected 16.50 crore nett on Monday taking its total to 104 crore nett plus. The first week is heading for a 130 crore nett plus total. There have been noticeable drops on the Wednesday for major releases this year be it a Total Dhamaal, Gully Boy or Bharat and lets see how this one fares on Wednesday as the appreciation here is far more

The film is a remake of a Telugu film which did more than 55% of its business in Nizam in the Nizam / Andhra circuit. Nizam is basically Hyderabad and surrounding areas and for a Telugu blockbuster it will cover 35% of the Nizam / Andhra collections. So with such a high ratio its basically pretty limited in that market but its Hindi version Kabir Singh has become an outright all India blockbuster in all Hindi markets. The business of Kabir Singh till date is as follows.

While I agree that Telugu is regional language and it's collection would be small as compared to Hindi. But then there are people who watch Hindi movies despite not knowing Hindi, for example, my bestie and other close friends who are Telugu but don't understand Hindi that much. Similarly, when I watched Arjun Reddy, it was in Telugu with Subtitles. That's why I compared the collections of both the films.

If someone has to watch movie, language is not that much of a barrier now since we have subtitles.
