You are giving to much credit to the audience when you say they can think what’s wrong and what’s right.

Sick twisted guys like that exist in each society...their actions are their responsibility not the filmmakers...we can and should work towards a more open and mature society...it’s hard but it is possible and that’s a different debate altogether

Is it ok to review a film based on the society it was released in? Is a review about our reaction to the film or our assumptions about people’s reaction? Who gives us the authority to make that assumption?

If so then I suggest filmmakers have no choice but to follow templates to make films in future

I somehow don’t see altering movies and plots/ censoring and banning movies being a practical solution to any society problem

So excited to watch Kabir Singh! Although I wish it's name in Hindi was also Arjun Reddy. I watched Arjun Reddy becoz of my Telugu Bestie and loved that movie in some parts and disliked some like cigrattes and alcoholic hero. But Vijay did a great job. Later when Kabir Singh was announced, I had a discussion with my bestie about it and he told Shahid Kapoor will overtake Vijay's role because of Shahid's great acting skills which was clear from trailer. I told Arjun Reddy is original and so Arjun aka Vijay will always be there as original. Then my bestie said, even though he's Telugu guy, said that the same person is directing this new movie so he's sure Shahid will overtake Vijay and now I think Shahid has outshined Vijay's Arjun Reddy with Kabir Singh because Kabir Singh has already surpassed the amount of lifetime earned by Arjun Reddy and I'm sure now that Shahid must have done a fabulous job as well. Let's see how Kiara has performed as well. Looking forward to Nikita dutta as well. All the Best Shahid, you deserve all the praises!! 😘😘😏😏

While I agree that shahid did a great job but he definitely didn't outshine VD.

Telugu is a regional language and has less audience so u cannot compare the BO collections of both the film's

like any industry, bollywood is also hungry for money, if you look at it. only a handful movies work in a year and u'll be surprised to see the list of disasters on BOI list every year.

who cares about responsibilities and all, when the main goal is to make money. its a demand and supply thing. harsh, brutal, bitter but TRUE !

Agree with you here...I expected something better from Kiara but seeing her expressionless actually made me dumbfounded for a moment. Especially in the scene where she cut her leg, she was supposed to be seen in pain but her face had no reaction at all. In fact Shalini had done a great job as Preethi in every scene.

While the director has left no bound to bring the perfection in Shahid's performance, he could have focused on Kiara too. Lookwise Kiara was better but in the terms of acting Shalini is much more better.

Kabir Singh Sunday (3rd day) Update for Morning Shows, Outstanding Start Again!

Kabir Singh has taken an outstanding start on Sunday (3rd Day) morning shows across all India. Film opened to packed houses be it north or south or east or west. Film is heading for a massive day at box office.

Opening of Kabir Singh for Sunday is better than both Saturday and Friday. On Sunday film has opened to 75-80% occupancy in the morning shows. Saturday occupancy was around 60% and Friday occupancy was around 51%.

Occupancy report for Morning Shows:

Sunday: 75-80%

Saturday: 60%

Friday: 51%

Kabir Singh has collected 42 core net approx in first two days. Sunday is looking in the region of 25 crore net or more going by the start so far. Means film first weekend is trending towards 67-68 crore net.

Kabir Singh Is Excellent On Day Two

Kabir Singh excellent did excellent business on Saturday as it collected around 22.25 crore nett to take its two day total to 42.25 crore nett. The growth is 10% on Saturday and considering the first day was so strong this is very good. The cricked match on Saturday did not affect business much and this was the case with all the films.

The film has shown strong growth in Mumbai of around 20% with even Gujarat growing well on Saturday. Circuits like CP Berar and CI have managed to show little gains and considering how well they opened this is a sign that the film is going to be a huge success.

The only places where the business is on the weaker side is the cities of Punjab like Ludhiana and Jalandhar as the Punjabi film Shadaa has affected it. The circuit of East Punjab is strong as the centres of Haryana do huge business. The business of Kabir Singh till date is as follows.

TOTAL - 42,25,00,000 apprx

The film should do very well on Sunday as mass centres are strong for the film. The business in the first two days have ensured a HIT film and now its about how big of a hit this film can become.
