Recently, Sunita addressed these rumours once again during a candid conversation in a vlog with actress Sambhavna Seth. When asked how she would react if she caught Govinda cheating, she responded with honesty and humour, saying, 'Fir toh khatam, Jai Mata Di! Kehta hai Sunny Deol ka dhaai kilo ka haath hai, mera paanch kilo ka hai. Fir toh jo main dhapa dhap dungi, kyunki isme (hands) power aajayega Mata Rani ka.'

Govinda and Sunita married in 1987 and have two children. Their daughter, Tina Ahuja, is an actress who debuted in the film Second Hand Husband in 2015. Their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, has worked as an assistant director on projects including Tadap and the 2020 version of Coolie No. 1. Although the couple keeps their personal life private, Sunita had previously shared that they live in separate homes due to Govinda’s demanding work schedule, which is a practical arrangement rather than a sign of conflict.
