Kabir Singh is not. 🤣. When Padmaavat was released there were many articles and open letters calling the movie as regressive . I want to see all those open letters and articles now for Kabir Singh. If not then I want to understand why the people who found Padmaavat regressive don’t find Kabir Singh misogynist and regressive.

If you look at critic reviews, most of them have rightfully called it misogynistic and disturbing treatment of women, and especially the fact that the protagonist is never made to take responsibility or amends for it. The director has made the protagonist even look like a hero for doing so and the earlier things were just glossed over. But it is the public here in IF who think that is okay.

Not a fan of Padma.. Haven't watched it & won't even if my life depended on it. But wasn't that film supposed to be regressive? It depicted the century 1300 or something close to it for christ's sake. The jauhar sequence was glorified but that ritual is done n dusted. Not coming back.

Kabir Singh is contemporary and reflects modern day youth & time. I am not anti Shahid & I don't doubt his skills and achievements via the film but it should be pondered upon whether or not such a morally corrupt character should be hailed as a hero.

Half of the feed on the first page is about regressive content in ks. All major critics have rated it as low as you can see.
