Thing is, jasmin knew happy. She was happy from the very beginning. She has lived as happy. She has been part of the journey from the very start. She can't be replaced. How can someone who has not experienced the show from the beginning be expected to portray the character in its truest essence? Donal may not be as bad of an actress as we're all making her out to be but the fact is, she has not truly experienced happy. So she can't relate to the character as jasmin could. In daily soaps, actors create their characters. Actors have a huge input in how their characters will shape up to be. Because they are coming on our screens every day. So obviously some part of jasmin was embedded in the character happy. It's something that only jasmin can bring to the character happy. Donal can't replicate it because she is not happy in the truest essence. It's unfair to donal and its unfair to us what the makers have done. And to top it all, makers made sure to release this kind of news when jasmin had already quit. When they had already chosen an actress. Because obviously, choosing someone new must have taken time. We were just informed late. The news article was deliberate. It was released when everything had already been finalized. Maybe because they knew if fans had been given time, they would have raised a hue and cry and the show would have had to shut down. The show is a slot leader and obviously doing well on the trp charts. It would have been better to end the show with the original cast, take a leap and start anew with fresh actors the way they did with silsila. I really don't understand why the marriage with rv had to happen. It was so out of the blue. I always knew the marriage would not last long. But I never thought they would end the arc the way they did. These are the makers that gave us such a lovely story. I fail to understand what happened all of a sudden. Why the rush? Had jasmin perhaps decided to quit much earlier? Like maybe around the time her marriage arc with rv began? She did state in her interview that she was told she would not be married for at least one year. It's the only thing that explains the rush. Rushed marriage, rushed leap etc. There were so many things that were yet to be explored. It's like the makers were building up to something and then suddenly something forced them to abandon their original idea and take random twists and turns. I did not mind the initial 3 year leap because it happened so naturally. It was part of a plot. It did not seem random. And the following episodes were fun to watch. Shaan randhawa was fun to watch. The love triangle was fun to watch. I really don't understand what happened all of a sudden. It reminds me of what happened to bepannaah. The show was going well and then suddenly two leaps in a short time, the final leap being taken near the end of the show. Had they ended the show with original cast, this show would have stayed in our minds and we would have remembered it fondly. Now all there will be is bitterness. What could have been. That's it
I did not start watching this show for any one particular actor but I loved each and every one of them. But with half of the reason to watch the show gone, there's no way I will continue. This is me signing out and saying farewell to all those I enjoyed conversing with so much. Hope we all get a chance to chat again (hopefully in a new show with jasmin and ansh). Till we meet (or rather, chat) again
