Boohoo.. 😛 But in reality what happened was, I quoted when you first posted your reply before you edited, I'm online so I did see the notification immediately. I needed to search boi links then copy paste the articles in my reply. That did take quite some time. My reply got posted late because I was doing some research first. Simple logic hain na. 😁

Secondly, Even Kabir Singh has advantages super hit music, cult classic south remake, superb reviews... So Kabir Singh got the similar advantages as Simmba and GB got in a mix bag. Simmba is brand Rohit Shetty's current highest grossing movie same goes for Zoya. Zoya's movies get great reviews but bo wise they are hardly money spinners exception being ZNMD and GB.

Thirdly, you kept on quoting me on the previous thread (trashed thread) even when I showed no inclination to bash Shahid, which ultimately led me to bash him. So even if you did not say I'm a hater you are acting like you wanna really get a reaction out of me so that I end up bashing Shahid. So needed to clarify to you, comparing senior Shahid to his junior does not rile me up but it seems like people want him to get bashed so I fulfill their agendas for them. I'm very indifferent to Shahid, happy that after so many years and so many attempts he finally got this. You are not a Shahid fan, let his fans enjoy his success in peace.

Fourthly, please don't forget Batti Gul opening when comparing them. Shahid is Ranveer's senior of 18+ years, he has yet to achieve some of the milestones Ranveer's achieved in his 9 years is a fact. And no I'm in no mood to bash him, you want him to get bashed hence keep on quoting me and comparing them....let him be consistent. His contribution to partial holiday opener Batti Gul should also be taken in to consideration, the movie he did right after his so called Padmaavat amazing bo pull. Why forget that movie?

Shahid has much worse openers than that in his filmography. His 2018 release Rangoon opened to 5 coreres. We are strictly talking about movies after Padmaavat or else Shahid in his 18+ career has more duds than Ranveer. Why not compare all of them as well.

I'm very indifferent to Shahid, happy that after so many years and so many attempts he finally got this big success. You are not a Shahid fan, let his fans enjoy his success in peace.

Shahid is a fine actor, and has a decent following, but he isn't comparable to these guys, he is to these guys, what Saif was to Khans, HR, Akki and Ajay during the 2000s. Although he can get a push, but Shahid isn't really same as these above said four guys when it comes to stardom.

Padmavat is Deepika movie first, got hyped by controversy and than got excellent WOM because of Ranveer's performance. Shahid bad as much impact as Aditi.

I wanted Kabir Singh to do well, because Shahid deserves it, but he isn't in the same league as Ranveer purely on stardom and brand value.

Shahid might be like Saif in 90s, but RK, RS, Varun or Tiger are still not on the league of Khans or HR. They were giving HGOTYs and Blockbusters right from their debut. While the "youngsters" of this generation struggle to do that. Ranbir got one with Sanju last year but will he get that again, there is no guarantee.

Ranveer star power mostly seem to be overhyped because of PR. Yes, he got some recent hits and I'm not denying that he's a crowd puller. But even John, Tiger(and now Shahid) can give a bigger or same level opening like him with right padding. So is that really star power? Gully Boy and Simmba open at same around 20 Crores, but Simmba goes on to earn 100 Crore more than Gully Boy. Uri opens at 8 Crores but gets a bigger lifetime than Simmba. These things show how much movies are dependent on WOM in case of "youngsters". RK and RS might have got wider audience with their films grossing big numbers, but when it comes to loyal fan following, they don't really have it much.
