What are some ways in which Bollywood is better than Hollywood? - Page 5

I think BW is making some really good films. Padman maybe a boring film for many (i haven't seen it just heard from people) but the concept is something that Americans will never do. And this I have heard right from American you tubers who think that BW is doing a really good job in making films with different subjects. In the past year Gully boy and Andhadhun are two wonderful films in my opinion. BW is good at making gritty, real films ... and films have high emotional quotient. Also ofcourse, music and dance is something we specialise in and its our niche. As for nepo gang films, we only had soty2 and kalank this year which were trash so dunno how BW is ruined by nepo gang? Last year dhadak with a nepo kid was a decent film not trash. And alia has been doing good films all this while.. just one kalank doesn't mean bw is ruined. This self loathing has to stop and we should stop putting HW on a pedestal. Yes we lack good technology , good writers and acting should be better but we do have our share of good just as hw has their share of bad.

I don't watch much HW so don't know the best films to come out in the past year. Would appreciate if anyone would give a list of a dozen amazing films from HW in recent times (other than superhero flicks).

Emotional connect , showing relationship bonding and all the colours which come with bw movies 😊

We have Emotions, Drama, Family bonding, Sanskari Romantic films, One star playing two or three roles in same film, Colors, Music, Dance, Festivals, Fascinating History, Wars, Multi Religious dynamics and Hrithik Roshan 😎

Also,I don't think I blv a lot of these reactors. They just say anything to get views. The sec they even slightly criticise a bw film the get abuses in comments n dislikes so of course they just say positive stuffs. They're not unbiased sources. I've even seen reactors saying India is more lgbtq friendlythan US. I mean , gay marriage is not even legal here

Hw n it's superhero obsession annoys me though. Might be cz I am not a fan of the genre. But it's just the studios repeating the same formula they know works. Kind of like bw masala films

Bollywood does better in mixing of genres and changing the tone of the film constantly. Hollywood mostly sticks with one genre throughout the film.

Bollywood movies are more feel-good. Gives hope to people in this harsh world. In Hollywood, its mostly Pixar movies that do it.

Bollywood actors can dance. It's a must in mainstream Bollywood.

Also Bollywood already had No Smoking in 2007 which was before Hollywood's Inception.

Indian culture is way better. I don't like it when they show school going kids dating or smooching in Hw movies. I feel there is a age for everything.

Plus our culture is so diverse from north to south. Whereas Hw everything is just the same. I also like how we have big families , joint families and all celebrations.

Bw romcoms tend to have a assertive female lead at times,while the guy is more shy n romantic. I kinda like that. Not all romcoms though. Some tend to be creepy.

Also jwm handled the manic pixie dream girl trope well. Specially when the role reversed in second half

Bollywood really really lacks in animated genre,n fantasy world building series genre
