Oscar movies are not necessarily good. once you know all shit goes behind getting movies nominated with all the bribery to selection committee behind doors. you realise oscars are shit show too.

True. there's this saying that you can't win an Oscar unless you're Black (or any other minority), LGBTQ, handicapped or feminist. Jada Pinket Smith started the bullshit #OscarsSoWhite thingy because her hubby was not nominated. That really deteriorated the credibility of the Oscars.

It might have been true as well.. some on did racial analysis on the Oscar committee and not a single POC was there on the panel. but in recent times it has been exaggerated way too much...

YOY basis oscars are loosing credibility.

@Bold Oh I definitely agree. American Beauty is one of the worst first films I've ever watched. I can never get back those 2 hours of my life. Completely wasted.

In no way. HW is miles ahead of BW. Forget comparing these two, Indian regional cinema is far ahead is terms of good and original content than BW. HW has mega superhero movies and good, bold and life changing cinema running parallel to each other. Their Indies have a class of their own. But you know whats better than HW? European cinema. So true! Hollywood is basically just like bollywood but with more money and different emotional culture/connect, not better or worse, just different! That's why the films/acting are more subtle or subdued.. and not as loud as bollywood, maybe

European films is where it at! 👍🏼 swedish, danish films, norwegian (august 31 Oslo) French are getting a bit too repetitive but either way European films are way ahead in terms of content and story. They never make a film just for the sake of it. It's not seen as a "business".. that is why only really good content is financed and made.

Hollywood doesn't have an actor who can emote like Mammootty, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan. Hollywood doesn't have an actor whose comic timing is as perfect as Mohanlal, Sreenivasan. Can Hollywood even think of doing a movie like Mathilukal?Or act the way Mammooty did in the movie? Can any Hollywood actress do a movie like Manichitrathazhu?

Bollywood movies aren't musicals.

I'd say music. And maybe emotional investment cz movies r longer so u can flesh out a character more.

But overall hw is miles ahead. Even Japanese films r better,and Indian regional films too

Bw has changed a lot for better thoughzthat I agree. Long way to go
