I think its more to do with the traditional norms they have shown. Most of the woman on the show have succumbed to societal pressure. Even Varsha was affected by what Mrs Parekh said. Nidhi is afraid to speak up against Meenu and Bade Maa is hysterical. Even in real life in traditional families in most cases the women are not supportive of each other.

I totally agree. They are trying to take the argument of traditionalist vs modernist thoughts and trying to show what's right. The balance between these is required in order to channelise the right message.
