Kahin toh is one of my all time favorite yaar. And this mashup was so good couldn't resist posting. I'm a bit all around the place right now and have so many other songs to share. So let me gather by equilibrium. 😆

Same!! So Rajnigandha, Na Jane kyu, Jab deep Jale, aane wala pal, do deewane sheher Mai, all of them transport me to this different world comprised of these songs. I mean makes sense that they are from the same era, but just transports me to a different world altogether. And Na jaane kyu and Jab deep Jale aana I love so much that each time I listen to it I get goosebumps and there is such a surge of energy or emotions that I can't contain, but I don't even know how to transform! Aaarrrghhhhhh! <------ So this is what I end up doing or closing my eyes and try to get completely soaked in the feeling.

God ALD I missed writing about songs like this.

I used to avoid Kahin Toh, Deja.. because of some negative memory (actually of hospitals) associated with it, but this one is so so so feel-good.. a little bitter-sweet, but sweeter than it is bitter.

I totally understand your feelings :D :D ..nothing like a broken record, I completely feel you, so don't worry about not finding new ways of expressing.. and besides, it never felt like you were saying the same thing.. you are expressing your love which maybe one but always flows new, just like each song is different but harmonizes with the heart the same way! :p (sorry if I sounded cheesy or cinematic, couldn't help it hehe)

Well good to know this version somehow managed to override the painful memories. Because this is such a nice song, it would be a shame to not be able to soak it in to the fullest.

@bold... ha, so cute.. like ultimate combustion? 😃I get you I get youuuu!! All those songs you mentioned, Na Jaane Kyun, Jab Deep Jale, etc have that soulful feel na?? :D It's hard to describe, those late 70s, early 80s songs have that feel... every era has a flavor, and the flavor or atmosphere of these songs is something I love very much too. When I was younger, perhaps I didn't feel this deeply about those songs.. but now, I can see they have that mature soulful, some sort of transcendental feel to them, besides being so melodious.. *sigh* ..see, I'm feeling the same that you described in the post above, about hoping to find a new way to express my feelings about music :p ..it feels impossible with my limited range of vocabulary..

I missed this very much too Deja, and now that we are talking, it feels overwhelming and makes me truly realize how much I missed this.. 🤗🤗 How have you been dearie??! ❤️

See! You get it. And no not at all cheesy. It's completely in sync with my exact sentiments. I mean the euphoria, the high, the emotions felt, are all technically the same on paper, but they vary so much in terms of intensity, back story, expression and end culmination. Each time it's like an altogether new feeling.

There should be like a feeling/ overwhelm/ euphoria chart. Just like how there is a pain chart at the doctor's end. 😆

And all these songs have one or two lines which when they begin, it is ultimate combustion. So true about all these songs which we listened to as a kid being an altogether different experience once we grow up and revisit them. I guess as we grow up, we go through so many experiences at every stage of life that these songs that are nothing but a form of expression of someone else's heart/ experience/soul, that we end up resonating with it or finding a part of ourselves in it. As we grow, we become evolved enough to understand, decipher, process and resonate with what the artist expressed.

I know ALD. It feels so good that I'm actually not able to string two sentences together. And typing from anywhere other than a Laptop or PC has always been somehwhat a struggle for me.

I have been good, shuffling through good and bad days like always. 😆
