SALMAN KHAN SHAKES A LEG TO MUNNA BADNAAM HUA FOR DABANGG 3

Munni Badnaam Hui from the Abhinav Kashyap directorial Dabangg, featuring Salman Khan aka Chulbul Pandey and his then sister-in-law Malaika Arora, continues to resonate even after nine years. Two years later, the sequel featured Kareena Kapoor in another special appearance song, Fevicol Se, which was equally popular. Now, Mirror has learnt that the makers have recorded a song titled Munna Badnaam Hua for the third installment of the franchise.

Composed by Sajid-Wajid, who scored Fevicol Se too, the track is sung by Kamaal Khan of O O Jaane Jaanafame, with Badshah rapping some portions. “But unlike Munni and Fevicol, this song has Chulbul Pandey at the centre, trying to woo his leading lady,” revealed a source close to the development.

Dabangg 3 has the element of a prequel tracing Chulbul’s transition from a local goon to a cop. Besides Sonakshi Sinha, the film has a second heroine who will join the team in June. Munna Badnaam Huawill feature her shaking a leg with Salman,” the source informed, adding it will be shot in a city studio on a huge, lavishly-mounted set. The setting will be rural Central India.

The song will be choreographed by Prabhudheva, who is also directing the copdrama. He last worked with Salman in the 2009 action thriller, Wanted, which proved to be a game-changer for the actor. Prabhudheva recently filmed a shirtless action scene with Salman and Kannada actor Sudeep who plays the main antagonist named Sikandar Bhardwaj, for the climax. Sudeep is currently filming his solo scenes while Salman promotes his upcoming Eid release, Bharat.

The cop-drama is gearing up for a Christmas 2019 release.
