Katrina..from expressionless to queen of expressions

She has shed all her inhibitations and is so comfortable on camera now..it shows

if Zero was the performance which made us realize how good of a performer katrina can be..with Bharat she doesn't disappoint either

whatever of katrina has been seen in the promos..whether chasni..trailer and now the latest song..she is nailing the expressions..so bindass..at ease..and so expressive

if one sees her older work..one can realize she has indeed improved A LOT..she may not be the best or a great actor but she certainly went from being expressionless to very expressive on screen

On the contrast i never actually found her that wooden as she is made out to be by the general public. 😕She was just average. But not the worst. It was her accent which stood out like a sore thumb.

It's just that she didn't emote that 'extra' which Indians like to see on screen. Indians love those extra tears, that extra wink, those OTT expressions and katty being a Brit couldn't really bring out such alien expressions. Now she has learnt what Indian audience likes. But if she does the same expressions in the west, audience would call out the ottness. And earlier she had flowerpot roles. Now she is getting good ones which is pushing her to work harder.

^ I so agree with the person above me. Indians naturally have those extra expressive eyes and faces. My sis-in-law from India is on TikTok all the time, giving expressions on random ass songs and is pretty good at it. We find that OTT and usually don't have that in us for some reason , need to be taught lol.

i understand what you guys mean and one name totally briefs it basically..karisma kapoor..

she is the text book definition of all those loud ott expressions..and acting

but even then there were good actors by international standards..like shabana azmi..

also now actors are more subtle and real in expressions..but you know the diff between appropriately expressive and plain wooden..i think katrina was wooden initially..esp in some movies like JTHJ..but now she is very expressive and not the OTT wala expressive..she just does it with ease now..

Katrina has aura. She played glamorous to best being her strength. To me, she was rarely expressionless but her diction was issue which has improved now. Recently i watched tiger zinda hai, she was so good n Zero was her best.She has potential of improvement though.

Yes i am so happy with indians not dissing anymore, at actors who act real, normal or underplay a role. Things are changing.

Good for katty. She has had moderately good roles in the past but after zero reviews she has raised the bar for herself.

I am not overwhelmed with the bharat trailer coz it's very hard to de-glamourise katty. Not entirely convinced by how sallu and kats look when the year says 1980. But expressions are definitely good. Gotta see the whole movie to judge.

and Yet i find it really hard for any actress to match her performance in Fiza and Zubeidaa, she had been doing crap films in her prime and she only got three or four to nail it..

her sister has been around for so while and she can't even boast of that magnetic performance. I saw Satyagrah yesterday and i was surprised that a director like Prakash Jha managed to get a decent act out of her let alone a powerful performance..in comparison KAT was actually good in Rajneeti.

Kat has to Improve her hindi first and accent i'm tired of hearing people that she should act the way she is, comeon is it so hard, she has been around in this industry for all this while and its not like she's working in south industry, she's working in hindi films so she needs to get it better.

and ABOUT ZERO, the film was so terrible that katrina looked the bright spot, she did improve but it wasn't like she became kangy or vidya. she still has a lot to do

TM, you always exaggerate by miles. First Ananya now Katrina. After being expressionless frozen barbie for years, she is giving some expressions but calling her queen of expressions is taking a bit far
