KANK is one of my favorite movies. The acting done by Shah and Rani is superb.

The famous Turkish show which is also based on the novel was Ask-i-memnu (aka Forbidden Love) and they show how a 25-year-old wife cheats on the 60+ husband with a 25+ man who is considered like a son by the husband and is his nephew. The main reason the people liked this movie was because it doesn't have a good ending and the wife commits suicide. The wife is blamed throughout the show while the one whom she has an affair with also blames her while the husband is worse than a douche who even rapes his wife when he is drunk. Still the husband is hailed and the ending was not criticized.

Don't remind me of Ask i memnu.. That was one whole load of crap.. I never ever understood how anyone could like that?
