What is the difference between this show and Gopi Bahu?

Hi people, I do not have the intention to bash the show or the characters here because I am neither a fan of the actors or the show. However, i had the opportunity to watch a few episodes here and there, and all I could think was Kokila came back with less amount of facial makeup and a more urban environment but to do exactly the same thing, searching doormats for her Ahems (Read kunal and Abir), where both Kunal and Abir is somewhat jobless and stays at home unlike Ahem who at least went to office for somewhat 1 year of the show's initial run.

Coming to Gopi and Rashi, gopi was illiterate and an orphan and her decision to marry a wicked and sexist woman's only prince son even after knowing the doormat-ship she will have there was justified but here Mishti supposedly was brought up in Akshara's where she has freedom and men and women are equally respected, but she still chose to agree to go out with Kunal even after his mother being an outright loser and humiliating her sister Kuhu as an object who was rejected and not worthy of her son... Claps Claps and some more claps..

Coming to Kunal, his character is hardly given a thought process.. In a way which is good because he does not have the audacity to claim tall poetic justifications like Mishti and Abir and comes off as more real.

What can I say about Abir? Request him to not stay in the house all the freaking time or just threaten to leave again .. It is not even funny anymore.. Like his feelings for Mishti is visible, who is supposedly going out with his brother, and he will stay quiet and audience is supposed to feel bad for him? Why? it is not a sacrifice from any clear angle because neither mishti nor kunal has feelings for each other, it is not even a matter of being the wiser one and mature one and keeping quiet to do a greater good to the family, then what is it? Even in Ahem's case he was very much clear that he hated Gopi, atleast the male lead knew what he wants, over here the male lead does not know what he wants from life, and he is saoked up in some painful poetry and sulking upon his mother's hitler-ish lifestyle and then what? how is he helping others by doing this?

Last but not the least, Mishti.. she reminds me of a typical female lead, typical because she is Naira's sister but somehow she does not even have any philosophy in her life which she adapted by being the closest with Naira and karthik. Naira protested against her mother, left the house, returned, she was imperfect, then married into a sexist family and still doing great by managing their business, while Mishti does not have a life beyond what is called crying over her loser dad and thinking about how great a figure Rajeshwari is (Which she definitely is). I would be so glad if mishti would never agree to the marriage proposal of Kunal and instead tell Maheshwaris that she does not need to be chosen or rejected, she still need sto think about her future. And what about her career? Aren't we in 2019? Doesn't Mishti and Kuhu have anything to do other than being objects of marriage proposals and spies who can save ketki from the impossible mission of a lame fraud groom? Even Akshara was far more progressive back in 2009.

I am really sorry for the rant, but there was no point of this spin off because it does not offer anything new or anything interesting, even if the plot is wafer thin, the execution is also a big let down. Promos are all about Abir's mom and her plans, which does not help either. Also for some reason, I feel the lead pair lacks chemistry, I am talking about the characters of mishti and Abir and not the actors, because I believe actors can hardly do anything if the script is mediocre and still revolves around a future saas-bahu typo scenario.

Well, reading many feed back like this so writers needs come back strongly. It will run next 1 or 2 year with this rating and if they want to run like its parent show then definitely story should be strong.

In the first i do not think there is script in the first place, just some random tracks are added. Everything starts with a marriage proposal and ends with one. Now after 1.5 mnths , this cross connection is being tested and tried.

I do not understand the 360 degrees leap by the main leads. With due respect to Mishti i thought she will stand by her sister. Given the fact that this girl has a voice. Atleast Nanu could have been informed that give us some time to think. No she isn't against kunal.

Seriously cvs have messed up Abir's character, he is neither here or there. Nothing about his past, yeah he writes poems, has an app but no phones, runs some kind of ngo then is never there around. Meenu is not exactly a hitler nor are the other family members mean to each other. Kunal does not speak about his dad but Abeer does, he only craves for his father that's it. he looks confused. Not a well defined character, he can oscillate, full of mood swings. Also is sensitive to the core. This one is not devoid of parental love.

Coming to the proposal, Abeer is the only one who knows Mishti, the feelings he has isn't for a friend, he likes her more than that but the writers made him a angry young man and now he is a goat, the love for his brother is so great that he is pushing his brethren towards the girl who is coming in his dreams. initially cvs made him very vocal but all of sudden he tends to remain silent. He is giving everyone the wrong signals ( do u remember Aditya Hooda by any chance)

I am sorry but even trp audiences won't like a sudden reversal in character

Now writers haven't given my scope to kunal and kuhu. There is a reason if they start romancing on screen both of them will look better i feel

The chemistey, Alright Shaheer is good looking and Rhea is really sweet but there is no physical compatibility, they look like friends who are very comfortable with each other. in many itv couples there can raw chemistry, this isn't there.

I haven't followed Koki and her bahus but read the plot. I feel it had more substance and that is why it worked. I saw a couple of YRKKH episodes these days, even the characters there are well defined.

This has been said earlier, too many loose ends, the word marital courtship is like parroting, i felt good when Abir defined their meetup as a date ( i can't get it off from my mind that this actor did have a color full personal life in the past and the first i heard this courtship word from his mouth i dropped my phone and was grinning, no offense to Shaheer's fans, they love him).

YRHPK needs a plot. to keep them going. The story is threadbare.

Random poetry, meetings, rap songs won't work, it has to be well connected.
