I don't think Mishti is fake.She is scared to show her real self and has created an illusion and thought she can mould herself to everyone liking ,forgetting that it is recipe to disaster ...That is reason she needs someone who can read beyond tough exterior and scared soul...

Her family never bothered as it was convenient .Veer might have got less chance in short period of courtship and when he did he was flattering
