Was it necessary for Big Ben to humiliate Kuhu?

Things are certainly starting to heat up courtesy our Masterchef BigMo...err..who is Big Mo, you ask?

Well, since Big Ben's character is essentially Kokila Modi with her hair left down, I thought we could call her Big MO(di). 😛 Forgive me if it is silly lol.

Coming to today's episode, I understand Big Ben wants Kunal to marry the girl of her choice but didn't she go too far in her effort to ensure that?

When I saw the promo of her saying she wants Mishti to marry Kunal, I thought maybe she would pretend to not have known the alliance was for KuKu and not Mishti and Kunal. I thought she would pretend to be mistaken but here, she actively humiliated Kuhu and also put Mishti in a fix. 😕

Why did she have to say stuff like 'Kunal and Kuhu are not right for each other' and that they're too different? On top of that, she said Kunal and Mishti are alike. She really left no stone unturned to sour the experience.

I think she was also taking revenge from Kuhu 'cause she believes she is the 'girl with the earring'. Wonder what she will do when she finds out it was Mishti. 😲 It's not right for her to go and humiliate someone without even knowing them. Total thumbs down from me. 👎🏼

She was also banking on Kunal's reluctance to stymie the alliance but Kunal shocked her by not acting the way she thought he would. This makes me think it is more about her wish to control relationships, as Abir very rightly said. Had it been about Kunal, she would have relented when she saw he was ready.

I really LOLed when Abir was telling Nanu that Big Ben wants a robot bahu who says 'Jai Shri Krishna' 🤣 Shaheer was so good in that scene. Full props to Shaheer for being entertaining yet not going overboard.

I guess it's only going to get worse 'cause this issue will cause problems between Kuhu and Mishti.

Anyway, jab Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Toh Kya Kare Kokila Modi? Whatever Big Ben does, we know Kuhu and Mishti will be her bahus. 😉

When a person tries to shut the negative feelings, be it jealousy, anger or pain and sadness, these feelings don't just go away. They explode in unseen ways. Several years ago, my baby died within a few days after her birth. She had kidney issues in my womb itself and the doctors had told me that there was very little chance for her survival. We did everything we could, but could not save her. I was very sad, but wanted to tell myself that it was for her own good. I tried to not show my tears in front of others. When I was sitting in the hospital, I remember, my daughter's nurse who had been taking care of her in ICU come to me and ask me if I said good bye to her yet. She realized that I was not ready to face the pain by my reactions. And she told me that it was not good for my mental health. That I had to express my pain and let my daughter go, tell her good bye. She got the baby from her crib and put her on my lap. And I broke down. But that helped me to gather my broken pieces and heal. She helped me find closure.

Here Meenu is living without that closure from her husband's leaving her. By trying to shut down that pain, she is letting it rule her entire life. She feels that if someone had done the kind of things she is trying to do for the kids, she wouldn't have faced the heartbreak. She feels that she is facing the consequences of not having listened to her elders, or having rejected that family love. So she has told herself that she will not let history repeat herself. That she will protect this family from further harm. And from her perspective because of that video call, earring and Kuhu's blurting out of certain things, she feels that Kuhu is not the right person for her family. For her it is not even about just Kunal and Kuhu anymore, it is about the whole Maheshwari family beliefs vs Rajvansh family. She thinks that the family will become too independent where they no longer hold the Rajvansh family name on pedestal. That the change in thinking will sully the good name that the family has protected all this time.

Her act of humiliating Kuhu in front of her family was a tit for tat act on her bragging that she "saved" Ketki from her unwilling marriage. She feels that Kuhu had incited Ketki to reject the alliance which would have invariably resulted in both Ketki and Rajvansh family being insulted. The word of Ketki having run away on her engagement would probably have created rumors and given rise to gossips. She thinks she is doing this for Ketki too.

Meenu needs to retrospect her actions. According to the SBS, Mishti doesn't reject the proposal but begs that she wants to know Kunal better. I feel that during this getting to know each other time, all 4 of them get a better understanding of each other. And the topic of the earrings will come out too. Parul probably will play a significant role in the future episodes as she is Meenu's confidant, but loves Abir very much.
