Yesterday it was the Bidai songs as the theme of the show. Parents were bringing their kids over to the stage and then saying few words for them. Each and every parent said something or the other very touchy. But it was what Aishwarya's father said that deserves a big applause. He siad something that for long even I have been questioning.

He addressed Gajji and others and requested that "Please Beti ko paraya han mat kaho". Reason being Beti kabhi paraya hoti hi nahi hai aur na hi usko Dhan bulana theek hai.

So true. Just because she leaves her fathers house and goes to her sasural she becomes paraya for us. She is the daughter of that house, the child of those parents. How can they feel this girl is not mine anymore. She is their flesh and blood!!!! And "Dhan"!!! No she cannot be called that. I personally feel that word should not be used for Beti. No idea why but I always used to find this line not to my own liking. And I was really glad to see someone else, who happens to be an elder and more experienced than me expressing the same.

Yes, its true. A girl cant become paraya, simply because she gets married. How can the attachment go off ? Her Dad seems to be quite a persons. Lucky her. And dhan , that too sounds too materalistic especially when it is added tot he word paraya.

I wish more and more parents think in those lines. Then there will be no discrimination.

She gave a brillinat performance today? In fact the best perfromance of the day? great going for her !!! 👏

Excellent message by Mr. Majumdar.

Not only girls are made to feel paraya but even paraya dhan. At the same time in some culture girls parents end up paying hugh amount of dowry 😡

Girls are supposed to be considered Devi Laxmi and worshipped as good luck to the family.

I was happy to hear him making very wise comments.

Aishwarya was out of this world in her today's rendition. As a matter of fact I will say today's wedding theme episode as memorable one 👏 . Everyone sang awesome 👏 .

Sonia was out of this world too. It was so sad to see her getting eliminated. God bless her and all other kids.

sonia got eliminated. 😲 too bad....she was a great singer.

i agree with all of the members comments above. but i guess when they call beti a paraya dhan they are implying that she leaves her house and family to live with another. there she has her own kids and makes a fmaily of her own....hence her priorities change. she is no longer 100% belonging to her original family.....i dunno if it makes sense.

am watching the episode right now and seems to be a very emotional one.

Yes Aishwarya's father's speech was really touching.
I know for a fact that he loves his daughter very much and that is why he said what he believed on the stage.

We need more parents like this in India!

Definietly hats off to him!

MJ I understand exactly what you are saying. Yes once she is married she has to blend in with her husband's family and raise her own. But she still is part of her parents family na 😳

But have u not heard some parents think once daughter is married she has no right at her parents? They feel relieved that it is over and done with. Some families consider girls as liability. She loses all rights to her parents home. That is really sad.

thankfully my famile never felt am paraya and all tht...actually i think parents also think tht ek baar ladki ki shaadi ho gayi to unka uspe hak nahin rehta..it also depends on how the inlaws are..means they shud encourage the gal to give equal time n importance to her famil even after marriage...and dont even talk abt dowry..i just hate that practice 😡

This question of being a daughter has alwayz been with me ji, ke praya dhan kaise bani ek beti? Chalo, for one minute maan lehti hoon ke main prayi hoon, par dhan kahaan se hoon? Insaan hoon, koi paisa nahi.

A daughter spends 20 odd years with her parents, and (IF) her parents from the start say tu toh pyari hai, ek na ek din tujhe toh aapne ghar chale jaana. The girl still smiles and thinks ke chalo ok. But then the same beti is married, and she has all these dreams ke yeh ab mera ghar hai ji. Her dreams get shattered when her sasuraal says ke tu toh prayi hai, tujhe humare ghar ke baare mein kya pata hoga. Great ji, maa baap bhi beti ko prayi bole, aur sasuraal bhi. Phir uss beti ka ghar kahaan hai ji? Upar wala bhool gaya ek beti ko ghar dena.

I was crying all through the show, and when Aishwariya ke dad aaye I was crying my eyes out ji. He touched a cord that I'm sure many girls feel in their lives. Guys have it so eazy, but girls need to go through an aagnipraeeksha at every step in their lives ji. Then to top it kabhi koi aapna hi ni kehta, bas praya. Yeh hi log Devi Maa ko pujte hain, aur phir usse hi roop ko praya aur dhan bolte hain. Kya baat hai ji, yeh hai duniya.

A son is a son till his wife comes, a daughter is a daughter till life ends.

Anywayz, my opinion ji, hope no one minds
