They announced it's coming out on the 17th. 9 days before Avengers End Game. Why don't it just come out on 12th. There is really nothing releasing that week. Then it will have a full 2 weeks to it self. You will still get the holidays in the 2nd week.

They have enough time to do promotions. Rumor is that the trailer is coming out at the end of March.

thats actually a bad decision to keep only 9 days in between

avengers is the biggest movie releasing this year in the whole world

That was my thinking. Just look at Captain Marvel is doing right now. it might not have the legs like a Bollywood movie but it making a lot.

They are not even releasing the trailer a month before release

You just need one week. Movies now cross 100+ cr easily in the first week. If it is preponed, second week will be 50+, lifetime 200+. Superhit
