Just saw the movie in usa. It was full except couple of lines in front.

Loved the movie. It is very engrossing with lots of twists and turns to keep you on your toes right up to the last shot.

nly critism i have thatt language could have been toned down and may be little shorter with tight editing.

Huge Second Sunday For Total Dhamaal - Lukka Chuppi Crosses 30 Cr

Total Dhamaal had a huge second Sunday as figures went into double digits as it collected 10.5-11 crore nett. This will make the second weekend of the film around 22 crore nett. The huge growth has come as its a holiday in parts of the country tomorrow which has allowed the business to remain strong in the evening and night shows. This sort of 60-65% growth is not normal for a Sunday.

The film has crazy collections in Gujarat / Saurashtra as the Sunday collections of 2.50 crore nett have beaten the weekend collections of Luka Chuppi which will be around 2.25 crore nett apprx.

Luka Chuppi also did very well on Sunday with collections in the 13-13.50 crore nett. Again the fact that it is a part holiday on Monday which pushed collections in the evening and night shows. the film will have three day weekend of nearly 31 crore nett which is very good.

Even the disaster Sonchiriya which was flat on Saturday managed to grow on Sunday but there is not much hope for this after the holiday is over tomorrow.The collections were around 1.50 crore nett on Sunday for a weekend of 3.50 crore nett apprx

Luka Chuppi Very Good Weekend - Sonchiriya Very Poor Weekend

Luka Chuppi has done very well in its first weekend with collections of 30.50 crore nett. The trend was strong on Sunday with growth of around 30% but it was probably helped the part holiday on Monday. It is hard to tell how well the film can hold after Monday from this trend but a 30 crore nett weekend is more than good for this film.

The film is a success even if collections were to fall badly on the weekdays and it will be Tuesday that will tell if this film becomes a HIT. The collections for the first weekend are as follows.

Friday - 7,75,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 9,75,00,000 aprrx

Sunday - 13,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 30,50,00,000 apprx

Sonchiriya is a disaster with collections of 3.50 crore nett over the first weekend. There was no growth on Saturday when this film is for the high end multiplexes which collect best on Saturday. There are reports that the artists are not happy with the size of the release but actually the release is far too big for this type of film. It should actually just release on 200 odd multiplexes. When a film practically has no audience then more screens will make no difference. Collections come with footfalls not extra screens. The weekend collections of Sonchiriya are as follows.

Friday - 1,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 1,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 1,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 3,50,00,000 apprx

It doesn't not have a lot of gore. Only 2-3 scenes. One in the very beginning and 1-2 in the middle. It has a lot of comedy and it's very watchable. I can't believe it's doing so badly at the BO.

#SonChiriya won tremendous acclaim, but, unfortunately, it did not convert into footfalls and numbers... Did improve slightly on Day 2 and 3, but the weekend total remains extremely low... Fri 1.20 cr, Sat 1.50 cr, Sun 1.90 cr. Total: 4.60 cr. India biz.

Sonchiriya continued with dull collections as it fell below its first day. The other releases either saw higher or similar collections than the first day due to Mahashivratri but this so called content film actually went below the first day.. The weekend collections of Sonchiriya are as follows.

Sonchiriya crashed on Tuesday with very low collections. The film was a disaster anyway but was not expected to go down so fast as had media onside and they should have helped at these very low levels. The film will be out after a week with around 6 crore nett lifetime collections at best. The collections of Sonchiriya till date are as follows.
