P.S. He received profit share for Simmba. So the news about Adi negotiating a deal for him with Rohit must have been true then.

P.P.S This interview with Fortune magazine was prior to Gully Boy release. He says that every film of his signed henceforth will have profit sharing deal in it so that he will not charge high upfront fees keeping budget in control..

Also he says that he is adopting Akshay Kumar's lifestyle of waking up at 6 am and sleeping at 10 pm so as to improve his productivity.

The production house name is so Ranveer 😆 its a name that is really going to stand out, and Ranveer i think also went into profit sharing for BM aswell, he believes in profit sharing coz it reduces the pressure on the films budget, and if the film makes money then he makes money

But ranveer did profit sharening with bhansali already. Guess seeing the payment diversity he rather choose the profit shareing instead of increasing it and adding a company in the profit shareing is even a much better idea. The Sindhi genes or let's say his father must be playing a big role in the business part.

Oh Ranveer 😆 Full points for originality and brand building. The difference in Deepika and his production house names. Ka is so thoughtful so full of meaning while Maa Kasam is so much fun. Love it! My Gullyboy show postponed from Sat to tomorrow cause health reasons but honestly cant wait a second more!

Clever name for the production house.

I can't be bothered to read the whole thing, but it is cool of Ranveer to work on a profit share basis. It shows confidence in his star power/skills. It also prevents burdening the makers.

Movie making is a risk. You can spend big bucks on big names and the movie can fizzle. The stars walk away with the rewards while producers bear losses. By working on a nominal base + profit share, stars minimize costs and take on risks. It opens the budget for other areas. More big name celebrities need to do so.
