Disclaimer - Whitening part has been removed, this post is about Kunal's characterization... Thanks

Kunal the sacrificial goat of the writer...
Kunal was nice to Mauli after EMA, he was regretting and the story was completely different, during Nandini whitewashing phase they ruined him completely, he was very insulting to Mauli ..

Now after leap, Kunal was at least a good father to Pari but now they have ruined Kunal's love for Pari, I don't think Kunal's character was ever developed as someone who would badmouth kids

I think writers are just giving random scenes to Kunal. As I mentioned in another topic, he is the ML of the show and writers have to keep him till last episode. They don't know what to do with him as he does not get the FL in the end.

Its not for whitening Ishaan . You whiten a black or grey character not a white one . 😆

Kunal and Nandini might have needed whitening at some point of time. Ishaan is not the character who needs whitening.

It is Ishaan whitening phase, he is not a black character but he is going from human to God phase..

Kunal is male lead? And the writer has no story for male lead then she is a failure, she could have easily redeemed Kunal, all he had to do was apologize to Mauli but of course an Ishaan ko mahan banana hai to Kunal is badmouthing Pari and Mishti ...

Ishaan is a good guy...anybody can see it .he doesn't need whitening . He's not doing any Godly acts. He's just being a regular nice guy. But I suppose if you compare any good guy to Kunal then... He will come across as a saint 😆

I do agree with you on Kunal and Nandini's point . They did destroy his character to whitewash Nandini's. However post leap i think issue is some thing else . It's not about Ishaan but it's the fact that for them Kunan is and will remain divine and true love. It's the tag line of their show. They can't show Kunan as wrong or they don't want to show Kunan as wrong. Hence they can't redeem Kunal . Because for redemption Kunal will first have to accept Kunan is wrong which will never happen. It's not got to do with Ishaan but with writers stubbornness to accept that Kunan was wrong.

Hi FruitToasty, how are you?

Left commenting anything about this show for weeks now, but felt like commenting on your post. Was to reply in length but it got all wasted and i don't have enough energy left for this show to even type that again.

Basically agree to whatever you said and not just these instances but almost every time, even EMA phase (the start or when it was going on) Kunal was always made the sacrificial goat.

Gajra is a failure of a writer and a whole lot other things.

Glad you keep raising these points. Unfortunately i can see your post already turning into a debate ground with one thing being picked up and the whole white elephant in the room being ignored, i.e Kunal's characterization or being the sacrificial goat. It is quiet evident seeing all these abrupt ways the changes are brought in Kunal's characterization for one purpose or another.

Hey..
I am good and you?

Gajra has failed in every way, Kunal's character has always been used as a bin where old paint is thrown and new white paint is applied first on Nandini, now on Ishaan...

I just don't see Kunal as a character who will ever badmouth kids, it wasn't a small thing, he said really mean things for MishRi, good thing is that the show is ending and none will remember it as a good one, lol..

I am fine and doing good 😊

@bold Totally agree.

p.s: I think you should edit the whitening part or specific mention of certain characters ;P. I can see how that is easily being used as a diversion. You pick an important point and debate and i don't want that to be hijacked or diverted.

Doesn't help much

People here read things I don't even mention in my post, then other people reply to me on basis of wrong post and in the end I don't even remember my original topic...

So I don't really write for members

Not sure what the writers want to show, but they are making Kunal's character drop beyond mending.everytime they try to whitewash him, he is steeping even badly. They aren't treating him as a male lead . Feel bad for shakti that his character is given such a terrible treatment
