Are films these days over promoted?

I guess since we have so much access to anything and everything do you feel films are being overly promoted? I know the film needs attention to get people to the theaters and that promoting a film isn't some new thing but, I kind of feel there are so much unnecessary things surrounding film promotions just so the film can get attention. It's messed up.

Yes.

And it somehow has an opposite effect on me.

They hype it so much that I hav no interest to watch them.

I still havent seen any of the Koi Mil Gaya to Krish series, Highway, ELKDTAL, Padmaavat, Sanju, most KJo movies.

I agree. I feel it's too much sometimes. I like to be a bit surprised by things.

well it is the simple jo Dikhta hai woh beekta hai concept.
Plus now people can reach each and every individual, so obviously they're gonna exploit it.
Hence the over promotion.
