Which Visa does Alia apply for to live in India?

Alia is a British citizen so I'm wondering how she can be living in India for so long... does she apply and reapply for Visas?

Oh I didn't know, that's funny.

But I guess, since her father is an Indian, she doesn't need a visa?

Where was she born? If in India, I will think, it could be another reason.

She doesn't have a British accent though, her accent is terrible

Maybe it's a mix of British, German, Gujarati and Kashmir 😛

Her mother is British. That's the reason for her British citizenship.

Most likely OCI card. An OCI card grants you lifelong multiple entries to India. OCI holders can stay in India for any length of time without registering.

I thought her mom was German.. or maybe she is half, cause her grandma definitely is German.

Anyway, if she has a British passport cause of her mom, then I guess she can also be considered Indian from her dad's side and therefore doesn't need visa?

But she was born in Mumbai. So, that solves everything. She doesn't need visa when she is born in Mumbai.

She grew up and went to school in Bombay. That is why she doesn't have a British accent. She is a British citizen only because her mom was born in the UK.

I guess country of residence is separate to one's nationality. I mean a person can migrate from one country to another and have the passport of the place they're originally from.
