The moment Kunal called Mauli, a chill went up Ishaan 's spine- mine too...
Jaana is not an endearment anymore. The first memory that came to me was that Jaana was long back replaced by Nandini. Jaana had been the password to Kunal's phone. He had so easily erased it and put Nandini's name instead.. These are the memories Mauli should have focused on these 6 years. Instead, she froze herself in time. Time for her to move on from Jaana...
The second memory Jaana evoked was a terrible one. Ishaan himself had heard Jaana from Mauli's lips when she had a romantic dream about Kunal. Terrifying for Ishaan to know she has frozen herself, despite the betrayal. Does he even know Mauli had been willing to take this guy back when the EMA was in full bloom! I guess Sweetie has given him some idea. I suppose that's why there was sadness in his eyes when he hugged Mauli last.
Strangely enough, Jaana doesn't evoke these memories in Mauli. Instead, she is transported to a virtual world, where reality should strike her really hard. She is an actor in a drama now. And sadly, she is essaying the role of Nandini in Kunal's life slowly. He is unknowingly imposing his memories of Nandini on her...He has forgotten the person Nandini, yet she is coming back to him in waves. These are memories that were precious to Nandini ka Kunal ...the Kheer, the temple, the sweets... It is painful for Mauli to relive all that, but she does it for the sake of Kunal . She wants to help him genuinely, though it worries her that she will end up hurting herself and Ishaan.
Kunal is going to revisit some memories and in the process of helping him and hurting herself , I hope Mauli realises Nandini was not just a name Kunal wrote over hers in his phone. She might be able to forgive Nandini - the mother of an innocent child named Pari , Nandini - the friend who apologised and entrusted her child to her. Will she be able to forget Nandini - the other woman, who's always going to be there between her and Kunal ?! Kunal doesn't speak of or remember his one true love, just like Mauli doesn't dream of Ishaan. Between them is a bond that cannot be broken off completely , yet is there room for it to grow anymore? Is there room for Pari ki maa and Mishti ka popsie in this family?
Is it really possible for her to accept him back and love him like she used to? She did think that was possible. Even a few weeks earlier, when Kunal confronted her about Mishti and told her things could have been different, had he known about the child, she had thought WHAT IF?! This track should be able to answer that what if, so there won't be anymore what ifs . Would Nandini have faded away in front of Mishti ? What kind of an idiot was Kunal even to suggest that? Does he realise the child he treasures now in the name of Pari would never exist then! I really hope this is the end of silsila and they wrap it up with not much melodrama. Let Mishti's wish be granted. Let Pari have her Mauli aunty forever as a mother figure in her life. Let Mishti be at peace with the nice man Dr. Kunal is, who is also Pari ke Papa...
PS: I have not interacted very actively in this forum, had in fact left the show for a few episodes owing to work and other reasons. I was reading some scattered threads and came across some mindblowing comments in some posts on how Mauli was in some way responsible for the EMA too, because she didn't prioritise. Matlab?!!!
Kunal's priorities were bed, bed and bed and Mauli's were different . In such circumstances, it is better the couple separates and find people who understand them better. If Kunal found his better half, Mauli should be able to embrace hers too, with no fears or guilt. After all, Ishaan's priority seems to pretty much match with hers. In fact, all her priorities are first on his list. The poor guy seems pretty happy with no other priorities than his work. Wish a guy like this on yourself and your best friends... Beats the hottest chemistry any day! 😆
Edited to add: I am very disappointed with the romantic night out Kunal planned this time. The one with Nandini on rooftop was so special! This is nothing compared to that. Kunal always gave his best to Nandini- LIKE HE PROMISED HER!
