Pia never touched her. They were very careful in keeping Pia away from Ved so Pia still being a Daivik is not proven. Just like they made sure Ansh doesnot touch Pia when she was a smurf in Trishanku Lok. Because the minute she touched him, he went back to Ansh. If Pia had touched Ved then maybe the Sarp tara or whatever would not have been needed.

I am guessing they have planned something huge and dramatic to get Pia's Daivik powers out.
