Fresh Pairings to look forward to in 2019

2018 saw fresh pairs like Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan share screen space for the first time. Thr coming year too has a long list of films that will bring some of the most unexpected and loved stars together for the first time. So here's a list of 9 jodis that we all are eagerly waiting to watch on screen in 2019:

1. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor

Their off-screen romance may have ignited the curiosity amongst the audience to see their chemistry on screen, but it is the acting prowess of the individual actors that makes them the most sought after fresh pair of 2019. Alia and Ranbir will be starring in Ayan Mukerji's superhero trilogy Brahmastra, the first instalment of which releases next year. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan who will be sharing screen space with Alia and Ranbir for the first time as well.

2. Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh

Before Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt will be seen sharing the big screen with Ranveer Singh for the first time. The two have earlier worked in several commercials together, but their first movie together will be Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. This much awaited biopic based on a group of rappers of the same name has been in the news for a while and sure looks promising with the incredible cast of Alia and Ranveer.

3. Ananya Pandey, Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff

Sometimes three is way better than one and that is the case for this Dharma trio who will be seen in Student of the Year 2. The film is also Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria's debut and a landmark film for Tiger Shroff who will shed off his action hero image for a love story based in a school. Well, with a senior batch that had debutants Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan, this new batch of 2019 is sure to feel the heat.

4. Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani

We all know what a kickass actor Shahid Kapoor is and Kiara Advani is the hot property in town after her mesmerising performance in Lust Stories. The duo will be seen in the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy that starrer Vijay Devrakonda and the film is renamed as Kabir Singh. We've got a glimpse of this pair's steamy chemistry in their song Urvashi Urvashi and now we're excited to see the two romance each other on screen.

5. Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff

We couldn't help but get this master bromance in our list. The two ultimate dancers from one generation apart, Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff are all set to share the screen space in a film based on, well no brownie points for guessing this, dance. Though the film is still untitled, here's hoping to see a mad dance off between the two actors.

6. Bhumi Pednekar and Sushant Singh Rajput

Bhumi Pednekar and Sushant Singh Rajput gained a great fan following after their very first films, Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Kai Po Che respectively. The two have got critics rooting for them too. With so much to back them and a film like Son Chiriya in their kitty, you can only expect a blast from these young actors.

7. Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aryan

He's the new chocolate boy of Bollywood and she's a sizzler. Kartik Aryan and Kriti Sanon have a huge fan following among the young and a love story between them is sure to get the audiences attracted. The two will be seen in Luka Chuppi, a story about a young television reporter who falls in love with a headstrong girl in Mathura.

8. Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salman

Sonam and Dulquer will be seen in The Zoya Factor. The film takes you on a romantic journey of the captain of the Indian cricket team and a girl who happens to be his lucky charm. Sports, love, drama and these two brilliant actors, we are excited for this one.

9. Sanjana Sanghi and Sushant Singh Rajput

She was the cute little girl Mandy we loved in Rockstar and now she's coming to the big screen with Sushant Singh Rajput in a heart wrenching love story based on the book The Fault in out Stars. Kizie and Manny, the name of the film, will make you love, laugh and cry and we're excited to see this new on-screen couple to make it all happen for us.
