Midnight Kisses...and more
One thing that 2018 had brought to pass was that his wife was getting quite good at this, Shaurya thought with amusement. Not that she had, by any means, become immune to his touch. On the contrary, Mehek couldn't even claim the slightest indifference: no matter how smoothly she raised the champagne flute to her lips; nor how she managed to swallow the effervescent liquid without sputtering before winding up her conversation with a fellow guest at the soiree with apparent ease. However, from the color that had at first filled her cheeks: a becoming flush which by now would have spread across her chest, he knew full well how aroused she had become. Had his hand greater access than her evening dress afforded, he was sure to find her willing and ready for him. All because of his touches. That was telling since due to where they were, brief clandestine caresses were all he could manage: first to the small of her back and then slowly his hand drifted down as to her delectable bottom which was showcased to its best advantage in the fluid material that skimmed her curves tonight. She had an exquisite figure; one he could not keep his hands off at the best of times, not the least being her derrire. Oh, how he loved it. Yet what he loved even more was that she in turn welcomed his appreciation, proving that they were equally matched in their desires: as much as he wanted, so did she. There was but one thing to do now to ensure they both got what they wanted.
"I need you Mehek, let's get out of here."
Mehek gasped the second she felt the light smack on her backside he used to reinforce his demand, and instantly turned to her husband and gazed up at him, scandalized that he would have taken something so private; something usually reserved for their bedroom and doing it in public when he knew how it would make her feel.
"Now, at less than fifteen minutes to midnight...you can't be serious" she whispered, the huskiness of her voice betraying her shock, but more so her own need. She went with him willingly when Shaurya pulled her towards him and let her feel the hard length of him as he swayed her sensually in time to the music playing in the room. Her mouth fell open in response and a panic look came to her face. Damn him for getting her so worked up.
"Perhaps I was mistaken in thinking that you had sequestered yourself in this corner to allow me my liberties," Shaurya said, of the spot he had found her in, upon his return from greeting some potential investors who had also attended the charity gala. "I would have stopped if you only indicated, Jaan. But you did not."
"No, I didn't. I rather liked it," she replied boldly.
"And I'd rather ring in the new year making love to my wife, than being in the company of so many strangers."
"Then you have done a disservice to both of us, Shaurya since there is no way that we will ever make it home in time. Nowhere close. And as intriguing as such escapades are in romance novels, the thought of hiking up my gown in the parking garage or however far we can get in ten minutes from now is not at all appealing husband. Believe me: our car is not that luxurious to tempt me."
He ran a single finger over her bottom lip before he answered her. "Now that would be bringing the new year in with a bang," Shaurya stated, his eyes expressing a morbid fascination for the visual she had described, to Mehek's dismay. He smiled and leaned to kiss her forehead more than ready to appease her. "But if that isn't a temptation, maybe this will be, Mehek." Deftly he reached into his pocket and withdrew a before unseen room key-card and passed it to her. "Room 54615 on the fifth floor, Jaan," he told her. "Give me a few minutes and I will join you. And Mehek..." he added cupping her face when she would have left him. "Should you find the night air too cool that you wish to remain in your beautiful gown tonight, then I certainly will not hold that against you.'
He yelped when she nipped the finger that lingered nearest her lips, and then soothed the pain straight away when she drew the same finger into her mouth and sucked gently on it, leaving him shell-shocked now. "Don't keep me waiting too long Mr. Khanna if you plan on kissing me at midnight," she sassed him before turning away leaving him to watch her swaying hips as she walked away.

He must have practically run to the room, as by the time she had exited the washroom of room 54615 the door was closing behind Shaurya who carried a tray holding a chilled bottle of champagne and two glasses. Smiling at her, he placed the tray down and proceeded to pop the cork, so he could fill the two flutes. Carrying them the sofa where his wife sat, he joined her and handed her one of the wine glasses.
"A kink in your plan Shaurya; forgetting to order the champagne?"
"I'm not sure what you're referring to, meri jaan," he countered as they clinked glasses. "A toast: to the woman who has made every day of the past year beautiful, and every night with her a dream."
They sipped from their respective glasses and then met each other halfway for the midnight kiss Shaurya had promised his wife. And in return, she gifted him a dream when she slipped into his hand the black lace thong he had watched her put on earlier in the evening.
"Far be it for me to ruin your opinion of me, Shaurya," she breathed in his ear as she raised the hem of her dress as she settled on his lap.
The first flashes of light and the subsequent explosions high in the night sky stole their attention and interrupted their lovemaking before it swept them completely away. Breathless, they stopped kissing and smiled at each other.
"Happy New Year," they wished each other at the same time before they laughed and stole another quick peck, which quickly evolved into a much deeper one, Until Mehek pulled back again.
"Did you really mean what you said before, Shaurya: the toast?"
"Absolutely: you made every day of 2018 worth living, Mehek."
"And the nights a dream," she teased, as she began again the slow rocking motions that were already driving him wild.
He nodded, waiting to see where her words were leading to, and prayed to God that she didn't want to have an actual conversation right now, when he could barely think. His eyebrows raised when she opened her mouth again, and he removed one hand from her waist and pulled her towards him, so he could kiss her again. She got the message and turned her focus back to where it aught to be right at that moment: starting 2019 in the best way possible.

Mehek smiled and let Shaurya think she was clueless, when hours later he returned to the suite with a change of clothes for her, presumably from the trunk of her car. The jig had been up the moment she stepped over the threshold of the corner room and registered that # 54615 was in fact the hotel's Presidential Suite. Given that any number of the celebrity guests in attendance at the elegant charity ball they had attended would have secured the suite had it been available, it could only mean that her beloved husband had booked the room well in advance, and what she had initially believed was a spur-of-the-moment tryst with her husband, had all been another one of his plans. A very well executed one, but not completely air-tight. The multiple floral arrangements comprised of her favorites: roses, orchids and jasmine she noticed as she walked further into the lavish accommodations were yet another give-a-way. Their existence went a way to compensate for the slight disappointment that this assignation wasn't as spontaneous as she first thought. Setting her small evening clutch down on the credenza, she had been drawn to the first of many bouquets and inhaled the floral scents she loved so much before he arrived last night. And she had known.
Now freshly showered and snuggled in the hotel bathrobe, Mehek took the change of clothing from her husband. "I'm so glad you were able to slip out and get me something, Shaurya; starting 2019 with a walk of shame, may be a bit much for me to handle, even as beautiful as my gown is.
Her husband, dressed in a pair of jeans and a vee-necked pullover, smiled and kissed her on the cheek. "Anything for you, Jaan."
"Oh, while you were out did you have a chance to call Maa, Shaury, she must be so worried when we did not come home. I would have called, but..."
Behind her cup of coffee, Mehek smiled when a panicked look crossed Shaurya's face.
About to make his excuses as to why his mother wouldn't need to be informed ( because she had already been advised of her son's New year's Eve plans with his wife) Shaurya suddenly caught Mehek's grin, and realized that his wife knew everything. He sighed. "There's no getting anything past you is there Mehek?"
She shook her head and laughed. "Perhaps if you had selected a standard hotel room...and not ordered my favorite flowers, but regardless, it was a lovely way to begin the new year, Shaurya; an amazing start to the new year. You have risen the bar with this one my love. You will have to pull out all the stops next time to impress me."
"It a good thing that I have all year to plan then...and to practice impressing you," he muttered coming close to her once again. "We have a late check out by the way."
"In that case, we may as well continuing celebrating 2019," Mehek answered softly, wrapping her arms around her husband's neck.
