Why do people born to naagins have to do tapasya?

Does everyone have to do it? Shivangi was born a naagin and Rocky was born a naag but the rest have to do 100 years tapasya to become naag(in)s? Why? Why did Ruhi do it? Why did Vikrant do it if he was born to a naagin?

The son and daughter of ichadari naag or naagin do not have to do tapasya in order to become an ichadari naag or naagin. They will be born as an ichadari naag/naagin, but will be as human until their powers ascend and come to fruition. It's sorta like hitting puberty kind of thing.

Shinvanya was the daughter where both sets of parents are ichadari naag and naagin. That's why she did not have to do tapasya to become an ichadari naagin. She is already born as the ichadari Naagin

Then when Shivanya consummated with Rithik. She lost her powers and become complete human. But, the sage told her and Rithik that their children should they have one can go either way born as a human or as a naag/naagin. Nobody will know this until she either becomes completely human or become a naagin when she grows up.

The rest who were not born as ichadaari had to do tapasya of 100 years to become an ichadaari. Sesha said in season 2 that usually naag/naagin do tapasya for either 2 reasons. Either for revenge or for love. So, must be for either of this two.

Having said all that though, this season is full of bloopers everywhere. So, there is no realibility in there. Like how an ichadari naagin consummated with human and still retain her powers and all.

But then why did Ruhi and Vikrant do tapasya when they were already icchadari? Ruhi was daughter of the queen. Vikrant's mother is also a naagin.

that's sorta like an unexplained blooper of naagin 3.

It's a real shame that the writer changed her own lore. Retcon upon retcon. Nothing makes sense.

Delia I watched the first episode again. In one scene Vik said that after hundred years penance we gather the wardaan from Shivji to become one.

The difference here comes is ruhi was a naagin by birth but not ichadhari..

Coz everytime they were saying she is a naagin nd then saying wo bhi ichadhari...

So there might b a difference..
