I really don't understand mauli's parenting

When a single parent moves on .. they first do the trial of the new partner before letting the child get attached.

Don't really agree. That is saying another person can't show love and affection to your child without being romantically involved with you. Before any romantic relationship, Ishaan is Mauli's friend first. In my world, friends treat their friend's kids as their own and such things are allowed. Friends are like godparents to the children. Ishaan was no different. In Ishaan's case it was just more intense because he completely fell in love with Mauli's family and became a member.

see they havent shown us their past. how mishti met ishaan and how mauli met him..

so whatever i have got from their equation is that mauli likes ishaan as a person , she respects him.. and even trusts him..

i guess mishti had started calling mauli's friend ishaan popsie and mauli would have tried to stop her.. but all in vain. as popsie never had a problem and mishti is a kid..

and then ishaan had proposed mauli suddenly. mauli did not say no but did not say yes .. so he kept waiting and from their talks u can sense that ishaali wedding was on hold bcz u two things. one was mauli's yes and other was ishaan's parents..

mauli never told him that she could not marry him.. it was pre decided that they will some day..

probably mauli was waiting for the right time. when her heart says yes .. but kunal's entry in her life speed up the things..

When has Mauli actually been shown parenting in real sense? As a single parent, Kunal spends much more time with his daughter than Mauli pays attention to Mishti. More than half the times, she is in Kunal's thoughts. To prove a point to Kunal, she agreed to marry Ishaan even when she is in no state to marry him or anyone for that matter. This woman will end up ruining everything only because of her incapability to get a grip over her thoughts.

A mother is stronger than a cheated wife & considering Kunal has assured her that he won't disturb Mishti, that should be enough for her to focus her time on her daughter & on herself rather than him.

Perfect question 👏 I was also thinking that really mauli don't know how to draw boundaries in relations. If she was not over from kunal yet and was never thinking about marrying ishaan than why the hell she allowed to bloom mishti -popsi relationship?? Draw the line and explain your daughter that he is just good uncle for you and never allow to think her in popsi way and also ask ishaan to keep in touch with her as uncle and don't create father-daughter bond with her because it is not good for any of 3 's future. But here also she fails to draw the line and in place of creating strong bond with her daughter ,she allows her daughter to called that guy popsi with whom she is not dreaming about anything .

Mauli never knew how to draw a line. She used to tag Nandini with her everywhere before and now this. I don't remember this woman ever getring her priorities right. She clearly doesn't know to balance.

Kunal knew to balance things, even balanced an affair right under her wife's nose and that is helping him a lot now while being a single parent.
