If you had a Ex, whom you loved and for some reason there was a break up..
How long did it take to stop feeling for the other person..
For starters... Am happily married ... but some times when i am in deep sleep i still wake up with images from past. And i am startled cos i am not hung up on past and not even met or know what's appening on his end for past 12 yrs..
Why is it subconscious mind manages to remember something we seem to have forgotten otherwise..

Mumoos, this is a good question. I will tell you I too had an ex. We were each other's first loves. We had many, many happy memories and some pretty bad ones too. But we genuinely cared and yes, loved each other. But as I have stated here, I now realize that the love I thought I felt was infatuation and friendship. I understand this now because my current partner is without doubt the love of my life; I can say that I am IN love, passionately. To answer your question, when my ex and I broke up, I thought it was the end of the world. I didnt' think I could survive. I remember my brother in law saying to me, don't worry, you will get over him when you meet the right person. And he was right. That's how long it took me to get over my ex--about a good year. I cried a lot and accepted the relationship was over. I only understood the depths of my feelings when I met my partner now; he is I believe made for me. Yet, I still think of my ex all of the time. the memories crop up and even sometimes I feel a little sad. I tell my partner this and he says, it's understandable because you shared many experiences. So, it's perfectly okay to remember an ex. I remember him all the time and I wish him well. Nothing will make me happier to know he is happy because well, I am and I want that for him too.
So, I hope this helps.
Now, I will honestly say Mumoos, I do not think I will get over my present partner so if something happens, I have resigned myself to a life of good memories..

it doesnt mean u still not over that person..

Hi
Well I can say about myself and my experience, I had been in a relationship with a guy for really many many years, we kind of had grown together. We were friends, lovers everything to each other. But as luck had it we got separated and had breakup .After our breakup I used to had many dreams of us,i used to literally wake up and start crying .Strangely I was very strong consciously like I used to not think of him and all.But he was affecting me a lot subconsciously, my mom sensed it and took me to doctor.Due to counselling and medication finally I could come out of it. So have my dreams about him stopped? No not entirely but now I can face them and they don't affect me .Ya I still do hold feelings for him but that's it, I don't think about it...

I have no such experience. It can be a reason I am unable to connect to mauli.
