I found her reaction very natural . Yes calling ishan to enquire about mishti totally skipped her mind but may be she panicked. It was more of a dramatic situation. The guard too must have seen ishan a lot of times . (Schools never allow anyone to take the kids without permission , but thats a diff case)..
Her doubting kunal and running to him was quite natural. She is feeling insecure that kunal might tell her the truth or try to haq jatao on her which she doesnt want. She feared that kunal might snatch mishti from her . When she blurted out these things , kunal reassured her so she must at peace reg this issue at least and not take the legal route ..finding mishti was the first priority so she went with kunal as mauli cant do it alone obviously . Its again dramatic that they were looking for mishti on the roads. I liked the episode overall
