Plus it was completely foolish of her to not even consider the possibility that Ishaan might've picked up Mishty from school, when it'd been planned ahead already.

Honestly speaking, Mauli can do what she wants because Mishti is HER child. Ishaan is a great guy, a father figure yes but Mauli is the biological and the actual parent. She's still been a single parent with the help of Ishaan, Dida and Radhika. It's her call as to who she wants seek help from surely?

When you meet your ex who took you for a ride your brains go for a death you become impulsive and for mauli she does not want mishti to know about what happened 6 years ago may be she does not want to open up her dark spots who wants to tell a kid that I have been insulted by your dad.
Checking on ishan should have been done but you mess up in stress she is vulnerable and I find her real she needs to sort out herself her wounds are still there which has to be washed away you cannot expect perfection from her. I did not find her getting any excuse to meet kunal.
Only they need to know mishti is aware of everything or the kid will dig a volcano in her before it explodes she needs an emotional outlet

He married Nandini immediately after divorcing Mauli , I found that in very bad taste but legally he was in the right side since he did give divorce and was free then.

Even now if he claims Mishti's custody without any guilt, shame or remorse , law will give him his right . But will that be the right thing to do ?/

Every thing is not about legalities. There's a thing called morality . A sociopath can be a law abiding citizen and morally upright person may not always heed to law in exact terms. But for the society both law n order and morality are equally important.

But here it's not about legality or morality. It's just that Mauli is Mishti's mother and Ishaan came 3 years ago right? Mishti is 6 years old so why is it obligatory for Mauli to call anyone for her daughters well being? I'm not saying she shouldn't have called Ishaan, it probably would be far more practical to do so but there's no obligation for her to seek help anyone as a mother. She has the biggest right on her daughter, by far hence she can take such calls if she wants to.

When they actually showed Mauli asking Ishaan to do anything for Mishti? If Ishaan takes care of Mishti, he does it because he want to do it not because Mauli asked him to do it.

There was no need for Mauli to involve Ishaan in the lawyers meeting. They are not married yet. She is Mishti s mother and can decide the future of her child on her own. Once they are married they can discuss .
Since Mauli had the argument with Kunal the previous day she has been very hyper about Kunal taking Mishti away. That's why she called Kunal and not Ishaan.
