Part Eight-
Long fingers clasped the arms of the chair, tapping on the edges then clenching, this was all part and parcel of the job, he had to remain calm, unperturbed or he would never escape. His usually light brown eyes were now a raven black as he examined the dimly lit room, drops of water hit the floor from the holes in the ceiling everytime the downpour of rain slammed against the window constantly reminding him that if he didn't get out soon he would be trapped forever.
"Well, well, look who we have here, it's nice to finally meet the man who stole what is mine, I get it, she's beautiful, who wouldn't want her, but she is mine, all mine, you're probably wondering where she is right" the man nodded and smiled "Bring her in boys" his voice was nasally
Zoya struggled, her upper body twisting as she was thrown to the ground
Aditya's eyes widened momentarily "You came back for me"
"Ah" the man clicked his tounge "Love, beautiful really isn't it, such a shame that she will bare the mark of a real man" the Boss held up a hot poker, it sizzled in his hold when he inched closer "Get her"
Aditya flinched "Oh come on, you like her beauty, why do that"
"To make her look even better of course, do keep up, it becomes tedious when I have to repeat myself or explain something that is glaringly obvious" he shrugged, pulled Zoya's arm out and smiled
Zoya shook her head "Please, please don't do this" tears rolled down her cheeks
He leant forward and ran his tounge up her cheek "I like it when you cry, please, carry on, it's such a rare, beautiful sight"
"You keep talking about beauty, about how she is beautiful to you" Aditya spoke up making the boss turn to face him with an excited expression on his face "What do you mean by that"
"Beauty is perfection, she is perfect, all mine, a-"
"A virgin" Aditya sneered "Not anymore, guess you found us a little late" he looked down "Sorry, didn't beat you to it, did I"?
Zoya's jaw dropped, exactly what was he doing? At this rate she was going to get killed. A sharp sting rose in her cheek when his gloved hand crashed against it.
"You wh**e, how dare you allow yourself to be tainted by another man, maybe I should just finish you here" he bellowed, gloved hand wrapping around her throat making her choke for breath, sharp nails scratching his arm only making him smile even more. "That's right baby mark me like i'm yours"
"Funny ropes you've got, only a double knot, child's play really" Aditya stood to his full height "I'd quite like to mark you to be honest" he threw his fist into one of the men's stomach, lifted him and threw him into the glass "If you don't pull the glass out you may survive, thank me later" ducking when the other man ran towards him he shook his head "Wait till I am ready, so unfair" kicking the man around the head he pushed his knee into his back making him writhe on the floor "Just go get a nice massage, you'll be fine in no time and I will be taking this" Aditya yanked the gun from him, pointing it at the Boss who had Zoya against his chest to guard him
Zoya stood stock still, why was he hesitating? He had made a shot like this before without hurting her, he never missed a shot, so why?
Aditya looked at his shaking hand, now wasn't the time to be afraid, Zoya was just a client, he wouldn't hit her. His head shot up when an ear piercing scream bounced off the walls.
Zoya shook on the floor, cradling her arm as the poker clattered to the floor and the boss ran out of the room. The heat ran up and down her arm, the pain was excruciating, lying back against the cool floor she closed her eyes tightly and tried to focus on breathing.
"I'm so sorry Zoya, so sorry, I don't know why I didn't shoot" Aditya shook his head then lifted her into his arms "I'll keep you safe, promise" and for the first time in nearly eight years, a tear rolled down Aditya's cheek.

"I'm really sorry that you can't stay with your sister but it's important to keep you both safe, keeping you together is just too risky, this is my brother Arjun, second best in the business only to me" he winked "He will take good care of you until all of this is over"
Noor shuffled closer, maybe Aditya wasn't as bad as Yash had once made out. "Thank you for what you've done for the both of us, maybe thank you will never be enough but maybe this will" she undid the necklace from her neck "Aapi gave me this when I was young, it's meant to remind me that she will always do what's best to keep me safe and a time may come when you need to show her this, to let her know that you are good and you have my approval"
"To let her know that I am good" he chuckled "I don't understand"
Noor smiled "I hope you never do, goodbye Aditya I hope the next time I see you, you will be" she heaved a sigh "That you will be okay" with one final wave she walked over to Arjun's car and sat inside
"Bhai, what was that about"
"Uh, I think she is warning me of something, i'm just not quite sure what" he smirked "Keep in touch and stay safe hm"
Arjun nodded "By the looks of it, you need to be safe too" he squeezed his older brother's shoulder with one final smile he walked away
Aditya leant back against the wall and looked at the necklace in his hand "Hifaazat Karna huh" holding it to his chest he grinned
