While it is reported about Nakuul Mehta continuing his stint in the show post its leap to play the main lead (Shivaansh Singh Oberoi), who will be Shivaay and Anika's son, the search is presently on for the female lead.
Well, the buzz doing rounds now is that popular actors and very close friends Sanaya Irani and Drashti Dhami are in talks for the lead role.

As per a reliable source, "Talks are happening with Sanaya Irani and Drashti Dhami to play the lead. The makers are looking for a very popular face to play the female lead post its leap.
As we know, Sanaya is presently shooting for Vikram Bhatt's movie Ghost, while Drashti has recently moved out of her show Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka.
If sources are to be believed, the channel and makers are keen on locking either Sanaya or Drashti as lead of IB. However, few other known and popular actors are also being considered.
We buzzed the actors but could not hear from them.
We reached out to Producer Gul Khan and channel spokesperson but did not get revert till we filed the story.
