My dear Sabita,

It is really sweet of you to say such flattering things about my posts. Let me tell you something from my side.

You should never underestimate yourself. Good writing is not only about style and vocabulary, it is also about ideas, and psychological perception. Both of which you have.

You had written on another thread about how Karna having been an outcast all his life would have dulled his finer perceptions of emotions, if I remember that correctly. This was absolutely right. And here, the part I have put in bold italics is really very good.

So keep it up, and never doubt that you will soon be a fantastic writer yourself. See if I am not right!

First of all I am in awe of your beautiful writing. You are absolutely right Karna has sold his soul to the devil. He is a tragic hero in the real sense. You are right people call him gray I think because within him he does have the goodness of charity where he does not care for material possessions and he is Loyal to a fault. It is sad that he has sworn loyalty to Duryodhan but nevertheless loyal.
I think this is a tragic love story indeed not in the likes of Romeo and Juliet but tragic because Uruvi can give it all but still fall short and Karna May try to give it all but still fall short.
P.S This forum has such fantastic writers I am glad I chanced upon it

This is exactly what is going to happen to Uruvi. She may be able to distinguish unambiguoulsy between right and wrong, and she would surely also try to bring this distinction home to Karna, but to what avail?

He may know when he is in the wrong, but he will still do what Duryodhana wants, which is bound to be wrong 99% of the time.

As I wrote above, she is falling for a man who has sold his soul and can no longer call it his own. And that soul is already getting corroded. I was struck by the fact that last night, he has NO hesitation in promoting what he himself had condemned the day before, depriving a woman of the right to choose her life partner.

I would have written some more, but my fingers are becoming autonomous and moving sideways. I think I am heading for a bad few days. So this is it!

Shyamala

You should take rest. Your fingers may get better. Please don't trouble yourself if you're not feeling well.

Thank you for being so thoughtful.

But it is not a question of me troubling myself. The fact is that once I get started on something interesting, I find it hard to stop, no matter how my fingers are acting up. But you are right , I need to rest them for the rest of the day.

RA has no cure, and it is a jealous creature, When I have a week of remission and start relaxing, it pounces on me from an ambush and flattens me. I then just have to wait it out for a day or a week, as it chooses. I hope this is not a flare up I am heading for.

It was a single shot - Uruvi on the left lower side, the arm in between, and Karna on the upper right side, as he is at a higher level. He is looking down at Duryodhana's arm, and I was struck by the fact that there is NO emotion on his face, no shock, no disapproval, nothing.

Oh Now, I remember. Thanks Aunty. XD I'll check this out again.

What is more, both Uruvi and Karna move oh so slowly, as if they were participating in an egg and spoon race😆. It was very irritatiing. But at least she produced the right expressions - her turmoil came thru clearly in her eyes - which was more than you could say of him.

There is another crucial point in such a love affair and marriage, from Uruvi's point of view. She will have to put up not only with always being No.2 in his life, which could be managed if she loved him enough, but also to tolerate all the crimes to which he will be an accessory. That is far worse.

Shyamala Aunty

True, in the name of romance, there are absurd stuff, but then the romance itself is done so beautifully, when they meet and stand face to face that I can actually ignore the stuff. Yeah, they were so slow. 😆 I agree with your point, she'll have to tolerate the wrongdoings too. I wanna see how they show it.

I too checked it again, and it is not a single shot but an alternation of shots. However, the juxtaposition is the same, and thus the significance.

But what is XD?

No mentions. Taking rest would do better than thanking me.

XD 😆😆 You are adorable, just like my parents. So, if you tilt XD, wherein X comes on top, and D below, D becomes a wide smile or grin, whereas the X represents lit up eyes or sparkling eyes. I would post a picture but I have forgotten how it is done. Let me try.
