Completely agree with your point that mauli should either forgive them both or not forgive either. I get this completely, however, suppose she forgives kunal and like you said, it would only be fair to forgive the other woman as well if you can forgive your cheating spouse, it's also only fair that forgiving nandini doesn't mean she automatically invite nandini back into her life and be buddies like before. It's one thing to try and restart your marriage post an affair by trying to overcome the affair and make things stronger with your husband, but to expect the wife to invite the woman who your husband had an affair with back into your life just like before around your husband and stuff is something a wife should not be expected to do and neither is it a good thing. I would not expect mauli to go back to being the same best friend as before with nandini where she allows nandini to be around her husband and family. That would be stupidity. Wish nandini the best of luck for her future and advice her and if needed say to her that when you really need me I'll be there for you like a best friend should, but I and no other person can expect mauli to invite nandini back into her life and home like before. It just isn't possible.
Forgive but never forget is the thing to be applied here with both Kunal and Nandini.
Just forgive Nandini to help her rid the burden and then let her leave. Forgiving doesnot mean going back to the old ways again in the same ways. She can never be the same with Nandini but she can still be a little non-apprehensive of her now since she is ready to forgive and forget Kunal's digression completely.
If Kunal can be forgiven and accepted, then Nandini can be forgiven too. It's a different story that you don't accept her.
