BARC Report, Week 42, 2018: Naagin 3 retains the top spot, Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 improves its ranking

This is the day of the week when makers and channels come to know how well their shows are being received by the audience. With a number of new shows being launched, the pressure on the existing ones is also huge. Well, there are a few surprises this week. Guddan...Tumse Na Ho Payega, Nazar and Qayamat Ki Raat have fared really well with the audience. Bigg Boss 12 has slipped down two places from 13th to 15th. The show's ratings are falling down every week. Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 saw a rise, which should be heartening for the channel and makers. Kaun Banega Crorepati 10 became the highest rated non-fiction show across all channels...
Top 10 shows Urban
Despite a drop in numbers, Colors Naagin 3 (8441) was the No.1 show with above 8 million impressions viewership. It was followed by Kundali Bhagya (6940), which managed close to seven million impressions. Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was on the third spot. The show is getting good numbers and has been in the top ten for close to two years now. It got 6193 million impressions viewership. Kullfi Kumar Bajewala was on the fourth place. The bonding of the two fathers, Sikander (Mohit Malik) and Tevar (Vishal Aditya Singh) is being loved by the audience. It got 5982 million impressions viewership. Kumkum Bhagya was on the fifth place.
SONY SAB's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah was on the sixth place with 5,496 million impressions viewership. This is another supremely consistent show. Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati is the highest rated non-fiction show in the country. It has beaten the likes of Bigg Boss 12, Indian Idol and Dance Plus 4 by raking 5,431 million impressions.
Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki that slipped from the top ten spots again made a comeback. People cannot get enough of the chemistry between Vivian Dsena and Rubina Dilaik. Indian Idol was on the ninth place with 4,996 million impressions viewership followed by Ishq Subhan Allah at 4,965 million impressions. Guddan...Tumse Na Ho Payega was on the 11th spot while Nazar made it to the top 12.
Top 10 shows (Urban + Rural)
Colors' Naagin 3 was the top show with over 13 million impressions. It was followed by Kumkum Bhagya and Mahek on Zee Anmol. Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya got 11,195 and 9,158 million impressions viewership respectively. STAR Utsav's Rabba Ve got 8,858 million impressions viewership while Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai took the seventh spot. Kullfi Kumar Bajewala, RadhaKrishn and Guddan...Tumse Naa Ho Payega completed the list.
Top 10 channels (Urban)
Star Plus was the No.1 channel followed by Sony Entertainment Television, Zee TV, Colors, Star Bharat, Sony SAB, Star Utsav, Sony PAL, Zee Anmol and &TV.
