Cute update so good everything going well except the threat on geet life coz of brij still maan found opportunity to woo geet who was excited to know how maan would woo her his attempt were doing well as geet was liking how maan would pamper her and each day a new gift or surprise awaited her he even arrange a date for her but geet was missing his flirts at one side maaneet were enjoying each other company while other side arnav was ignoring Khushi who was looking for a chance to talk to arnav and she got it and then she came to know his insecurities

CHAP 25. PUZZLES AND EGOS

Paayal was worried. She was actually beyond worried. And Aakash could see it. Paayal was trying her level best to hide it. But Aakash could see through her right away. So he grabbed her hand making her finally focus on him.

"Kya baat hai Miss. Chham Chham! Main tumhaare saamne baitha hun aur tum kuch aur hi khayaalon mein ho! Not fair!, Aakash spoke playfully.

Paayal looked at him with wide eyes, "Nahi! Aisi koi baat nahi Aakash! Koi baat nahi!

She gave him a smile but it looked more like grimace to Aakash.

"Hey! What's the matter? Kya hua?, Aakash leaned forward in concern.

"Kuch nahi!, Paayal looked uncomfortable.

"Nahi! Bataao mujhe! Kya shaadi ka tension hai kya? Koi problem aayi hai kya?, Aakash asked, "Agar hai toh bataa do! I can solve it! Ya atleast I can talk to family and get it solved!

Paayal finally smiled normally, "Nahi Aakash! Aisi koi bhi baat nahi hai!

"Toh tum itna worried kyun dikh rahi ho? Aur tumhaara dhyaan kahaan par hai? Kuch toh baat hai! Bataao toh!, Aakash coaxed.

Paayal and Aakash were meeting for coffee at some Caf. Due to Aakash's heavy work schedule he was meeting Paayal almost six weeks after their engagement. It was their first date after the engagement and that is why Aakash was worried. For someone who recently got engaged and was meeting her beau after almost 6 weeks, Paayal seemed too worried and confused for Aakash's tastes.

"Baat yeh hai ki..., Paayal mumbled and Aakash eagerly leaned forward.

Paayal hesitated and then ploughed ahead, "Khushi bahut ajeeb bartaav kar rahi hai!

"Oh? Khushi? Phew! Thank God!, Aakash sighed.

Paayal looked at him with jaw dropped open reminding him of his sister-in-law, "Thank God? Humaari behen yahaan pareshaan hai aur tumhein khushi ho rahi hai?

"Nahi! Mera matlab... Nahi... Woh, Aakash huffed and took a deep breath, "I am just thankful ki humaari shaadi ke liye koi problem nahi hai! Aur rahi baat Khushi ki? Tell me kya hua? Shaayad mere paas solution ho!

Paayal sighed, "Problem kya hai yahi humein pata nahi Aakash!

"Kya? Matlab?, Aakash frowned.

"Khushi aaj kal bada ajeeb bartaav karne lagi hai! Ek dum khoyi khoyi rehti hai! Aur kabhi kabhi udaas bhi ho jaati hai! Humein kuch nahi samajh aa raha!, Paayal pouted.

"Tumne usse baat ki?, Aakash asked.

Paayal nodded, "Haan! Lekin woh humein kuch bataati hi nahi! Kehti hai, kuch nahi Jiji!

Aakash shrugged, "Toh shaayad kuch nahi hoga! Shaayad tum khaamakhaan pareshaan ho rahi ho!

Paayal shook her head still looking worried, "Nahi! Humein pakka pata hai ki Khushi ko kuch toh pareshaani hai! Humse kehti hai ki kuch problem nahi hai lekin pareshaan, khoyi khoyi aur udaas abhi bhi hai!

"Toh tumhein kyun nahi bataati?, Aakash blurted out.

Paayal smiled softly, "Woh kya haina, Khushi humein pareshaan nahi dekh sakti! Toh isliye woh humse chupa rahi hogi!

Aakash nodded, "Woh sab toh theek hai! Lekin isse humaara problem toh solve nahi hota na! Khushi toh pareshaan hai hi na!

"Humaara problem?, Paayal looked at him curiously.

Aakash winked, "Arre! Humaari shaadi hone waali hai! Phir toh tumhaare problems mere hue na!

Paayal blushed and looked at him shyly.

Aakash grinned at her and then went back to the problem on hand, "Toh bataao! Main kya kar sakta hun humaare problem ko solve karne ke liye?, Suddenly he straightened up, "Ek minute! Aaj kal Geetto aur Khushi achche dost bhi ban gaye hain aur saath mein kaam pe aate jaate bhi hain! Kyun na main Geetto se baat karun aur use Khushi se baat karne ko kahun?

Paayal frowned and bit her lip as she thought about his idea. After few seconds, she nodded, "Theek hai! Tum Geet se baat karlo!

Aakash smiled, "Alright! Ab jo tumhaare tension jaa chukka hai toh kya tum ab tumhaare iss honewale pati pe focus karogi? Aakash teased her.

Paayal narrowed her eyes at him at his comment and then smiled softly. Both started talking about their future plans and wedding events.

Next day Aakash spoke to Geet about Paayal's worry about Khushi and Geet got worried too. She promised Aakash that she will look into it. And look into it, she did. Next day morning, Geet sat eagerly in the car with Arnav waiting for Khushi to arrive. They were outside Buaji's house. She saw Paayal look out of the window worriedly as Khushi got out. Geet waved at Paayal and Paayal waved back. Geet pointed to Khushi and gave a thumbs up. She saw relief come on Paayal's face as she smiled. Arnav drove off and soon they were dropped off at the office. After that both got busy with work, so Geet didn't get time to talk to Khushi at all. For the first time in six weeks Geet cancelled the lunch date she usually had with Maan and went to have lunch with Khushi. Maan was disappointed but was ok with it once Geet explained that she wanted to spend some time with Khushi, her old friend.

At lunch, Geet was surprised to notice how much distracted Khushi looked. PB ke hisaab se yeh bahut din se chal raha hai! If only I had noticed it earlier! Lekin koi baat nahi! Ab pata chal gaya na, I will sort it out now.

"So Khushi! How's it going? Kaisa chal raha hai aaj kal?, Geet asked.

Khushi who was lost in her thoughts, jerked as she looked at Geet, "Huh? Ji? Kya?

"Maine poocha how are you?, Geet asked.

Khushi smiled a little, "Hum theek hain!

"Aur life mein kya naya hai?, Geet asked teasingly.

Khushi looked at her solemnly, "Kuch nahi!

Geet sighed. Iske mooh se kuch bhi nahi nikalne waala! Nikalwaana padega!
"You know, agar tumhein koi problem ho toh mujhe bata sakti ho, right?, Geet spoke.

"Ji!, Khushi nodded, "Humein pata hai!

"Toh... hai kya?, Geet looked at with concern.

"Kya?, Khushi was confused.

"Problem?, Geet whispered.

Khushi shrugged, "Nahi toh!

Geet had a bad urge to slap her forehead.

Ab kya karun? Chaddo! Focus on khana! Baad mein iss problem ka koi aur solution nikaalti hun!

In the evening, Geet sat down in Arnav's car in the back seat and for the first time she noticed something. For a while, Khushi sat in the front seat without being told to do so. Weird! Why didn't I notice this first? Oh haan! Main toh Maan mein khoyi hui thi! She giggled in her mind and then got serious. Focus, Geet, focus! That's when she noticed another thing. She could see Khushi's eyes from the rear view mirror and her eyes seemed to be focused on Arnav. Hey Babaji! Am I reading into things? Ya sach mein Khushi mere AB ko ghoore jaa rahi hai? I have to investigate!

The days passed and Geet started to observe Khushi every time they were in the car. And she noticed that it was not her imagination. Khushi was staring at Arnav. Haaye! Is Khushi falling for my AB? Kya meri AD ka sapna finally poora hoga? Nahi! I can't jump into conclusions. Mujhe aur nazar rakhni padegi! Par kaise? Yeh dono toh din mein sirf do baar milte hain. Aur usmein bhi Khushi AB ko sirf ghoorti hai. Nahi! Kuch toh karna padega! Par kya?

Next day saw Geet pacing in Maan's cabin as she pondered the puzzle of her life. Maan entered the cabin worried. Kahaan hai Geet? Every day she came to have lunch in the conference room but today she did not come. Why? Maan looked up only to heave a sigh of relief. Geet was here! Wait! Yeh yahaan kya kar rahi hai?

"Geet! Sab theek toh haina? Tum theek toh ho na?, Maan grabbed her arms in worry.

Geet blinked in confusion at his sudden question, "Haan! Main theek hun!

"Phir kyun nahi aayi tum Conference room mein?, Maan growled.

Geet rolled her eyes, "Mr. Khurana! Kya aap apna ghussa side mein rakh sakte hain! I am trying to solve a problem!

Maan frowned, "Which problem? Tender mein kuch wrong Quote hai kya?

Geet rolled her eyes again, "Mr. Khurana! Kya aap thodi der ke liye MSK se Maan ban sakte hain please? She gave him a sarcastic smile.

Maan sighed. Lagta hai Sherni kuch alag hi mood mein hai!

He sat down on the sofa and spoke softly, "Geet! Baat kya hai?

Geet continued to pace for few seconds and then she suddenly turned around and stared at him, "Aapko aisi koi jagah pata hai jahaan do log meet kar sakte hain, Mr. Khurana?

Maan shrugged, "We have meetings rooms here!

Geet shook her head, "Nahi! Romantic jagah!

Maan's eyebrows raised. He got up from the seat and pulled a worried Geet towards him with his hand around her waist, "Toh tumhein mere saath romance karne ke liye jagah chaahiye?

Geet gave him such a baleful stare that Maan dropped his hand and raised his hands in surrender.

Geet sighed and mumbled with her hand on her forehead, "Mujhse koi sawaal mat poochiye Maan! Bas koi romantic jagah bataayiye! Picnic, Party aur Dates nahi chalenge!

"Romantic matlab kaisa chaahiye?, Maan was confused.

"Matlab do log work settings se alag jagah par milein! Not romantic exactly lekin setting thoda informal or relaxing chaahiye!, Geet explained.

Maan realised what she was talking about. She wanted Paayal and Aakash to spend time with each other! Stupid Maan! Tujhe kya laga? Its for you? Bhool ja beta! Itni aasaani se teri Soni nahi pategi!

"Aapne kuch kahaa?, Geet asked as she started to pace.

"Nahi..., Maan shook his head frantically all the while thinking of solution to her problem.

Suddenly he had an idea, "Sunday Lunch!

"Kya?, Geet looked at him curiously.

"Once in a while main aur Arnav Sunday Lunch organise karte hain jahaan dono families milte hain aur saath time spend karte hain! Lets have that!, Maan presented his idea.

Geet thought for few seconds and then her eyes widened and her lips spread into a smile. "This is perfect, Maan!, she squealed as she walked to Maan and grabbed his hands, "Kya aap yeh Sunday Lunch organise kar sakte hain? Aur Guptas ko bhi invite kar sakte hain? Please! Please!

She looked at him so pleadingly that Maan was sure that even if he would have wanted to say no, he would have say yes. Luckily, Maan wanted to agree. After all, he will get the opportunity to meet his lady love too. He nodded in yes and then proceeded to be shocked as Geet squealed once again, grabbed his face and placed a kiss on his cheek and ran away. Maan stood there stupefied for few seconds and then he grinned. Aise kiss ke liye I am ready to organise hundred lunches!

Geet excitedly paced to and fro. Her family watched with curiosity alongside the Khuranas.

"Geet ko kya hua? Bahut hi excited hai?, Daadima asked as she looked at Geet worriedly.

Naaniji shrugged, "Pata nahi!, She turned to the youngsters sitting nearby, "Tum logon ko kachu pata hai kya?

Anjali, Shyam, NT, Dev, Annie and Arjun who were discussing Anjali's pregnancy and kid names looked up and one by one shook their heads. Aakash seemed to be smiling at something on mobile, most probably a photo of his fianc, also shook his head, his eyes not moving from his mobile. Maan and Arnav who were talking to each other shook their heads too but then Maan frowned and commented, "Shaayad Guptas ka wait kar rahi hai! Khushi toh Geet ki khaas dost hai na?

The elders nodded and no one noticed Arnav look up with wide eyes at the name of Khushi.

Just then the Guptas arrived and all of them were shocked when Geet hugged Paayal, Lavanya and Khushi excitedly. Then she proceeded to drag the girls to one corner and sat down to talk with them. Everyone shrugged off Geet's behaviour dismissing it as some kind of plan for the wedding that she wanted to keep secret. Meanwhile, Geet sat and chattered with Gupta sisters but made sure to keep an eye on Khushi. And what she saw delighted her! Khushi snuck glances at Arnav whenever possible. It excited Geet more when she realised that Arnav was doing the same. That meant his feelings had yet to change! That means I can take action and bring their love story to the happily ever after! Par kaise? Geet frowned.

During Lunch, Geet tried to make Arnav sit beside Khushi but both avoided sitting together making Geet frown. She coaxed Khushi to take the seat but Khushi flounced off to sit with her Paayal Jiji. Then Geet saw empty seat next to Khushi and manoeuvred Arnav to sit there but he simply sneaked away when Geet was talking to Anjali about passing something and next thing Geet knew Arnav was on the other side with Dev, chatting with him with Lavanya on his other side. Geet pouted. If you love someone, wouldn't you want to sit beside them? Geet looked around. Every couple in the family were seated near each other. Infact, ... she thought as she turned around only to see Maan sitting right beside her. She felt happiness at seeing him so close. Infact, mere Majnu Khurana bhi mere paas hi baithe hain! Toh yeh dono kyun nahi paas baithte? She turned and stared at Arnav and Khushi as if they were some puzzle. Then her eyebrows raised as she noticed Khushi fuming while glaring at Arnav. Ghussa kyun? She looked at Arnav only to see him talking to Lavanya. Oh! Jealousy! Aha! Toh problem kya hai? She continued to ponder on the puzzle as she had her meal.

After lunch, everyone sat or stood in the hall talking with each other about something or other. Geet was the only one sitting at one corner alone. Geet was still lost in her puzzle when she noticed Maan talking to Lavanya. She was smiling and giggling at something he said and Geet frowned. No Geet! No jealousy Geet! Jealous mat hona! Maan toh tujhse pyaar karte hain! Jealous mat hona! But then she saw Maan also laugh at something Lavanya said and Geet's anger knew no bounds. She waved her hand at him asking him to come to her. He noticed her waving but ignored her. Her jaw dropped open. Hey Babaji! Mennu ignore kiya? She sent him a message through the mobile. Maan! I want to talk to you! She was surprised when Maan replied in no and took a step closer to Lavanya. Geet growled.

Mujhse pyaar ka daava karte hain aur flirt kisi aur ke saath! Jahannum mein jaaye aap, Mr. Khurana! She huffed and turned away. Maan noticed her glaring at him and then looking away. He smirked. Jealous, Miss. Geet? He sent her the message. Geet read it and glared at him. He got her reply. Jale meri Jhutti! She stormed away from there. Maan blinked and excusing himself, worriedly followed her.

Geet felt her anger build up. How dare Maan tease her like this! Kyun mujhe aise ched rahe hain? Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt the humiliation of that moment.

Maan found her fuming her room, with her back towards him.

"Geet?, he called out to her.

"Jaayiye aap yahaan se! Aap yahaan kyun aaye?, she growled at him.

"Geet! Baahar... woh..., Maan stuttered trying to explain that he was not trying to make her jealous and was just teasing her.

Geet wiped her tears. How could Maan tease her like this! Didn't he know that she was falling for him? How dare he tease her like this?

"Maan! Get out! Just get out!, she shouted and Maan sighed. Lagta hai mera mazaak jyaada hogaya! Damn! Kal office mein baat karna padega! He shook his head and walked away.

Geet turned around to stop him from going and then sighed. Stupid Geet! Yeh tu ne kya kar diya? Woh sirf tujhe tease kar rahe the aur tu ne use apne ego pe le liya! Bewakoof kudi! Jaane do! Kal office mein maafi maang lungi! Lekin ab mujhe mere problem mein focus karna padega! Kyun Arnav aur Khushi ek doosre ko avoid karte hain agar unhein ek doosre se pyaar hai toh?

It was late in the evening and Geet couldn't still understand what the problem was. She was lying on the bed brainstorming. Wait! Pehle mujhe start se yeh kahaani ke baare mein sochna hoga! AB KB mile! Baar baar mile! AB ko woh pasand aayi! AB ne propose kiya! Aur phir KB ne... Geet's eyes widened. She grinned excitedly as she sat up. Aur phir KB ne AB ko reject kiya aur AB ne wahi humiliation feel kiya jo maine feel kiya tha jab Maan mujhe jala rahe the! Aur AB ne jaroor kuch ghusse mein kahaa hoga jaise maine Maan ko get out kahaa! Aur Maan toh chale gaye chup chaap, bina lade! Lekin uss waqt shaayad Khushi ne bhi kuch galat salat bol diya ho! Geet snapped her fingers. Isliye AB is avoiding her! Because he was humiliated! And KB is avoiding him because now she likes him but cannot confess without feeling like an idiot! Uff! Yeh egos! Yeh egos hi beech mein aagaye! She sighed. Kal mujhe kaise na kaise Maan ko sorry bolna hoga! Warna hum bhi kal ke baad AB aur KB ki tarah ek doosre ko avoid karenge! NAHIII!

Focus Geet focus! Geet growled in her mind. Teri love story ko baad mein dekhlenge! Pehle AB KB ke love story ka solution nikaal! Par kya karun? AB toh waapis propose karenge nahi unless unhein confirm pata ho ki KB loves him! Aur KB toh pehel karegi nahi kyunki woh embarrassed hain! Toh kaise in dono ko kareeb laaun? And suddenly an idea struck Geet and she smirked. Oh yes! Perfect! Simply superb plan! Geet! You are awesome! But I have to act on it tomorrow only! Kyunki kal hi right moment hoga! Mere plan ke liye jaisi situation mujhe chaahiye waisi situation kal aa rahi hai! I have to do this tomorrow!

Oh my! Geet has a plan to get the lovebirds together!

fantastic part. Geet is always planning for other couples,😆. would love to see her planning something for Maan too. Khushi and Arnav really need help in their love story. Both are stuck at a point after their confrontation. Looking forward to next.
