I feel the song that remained fresh in memory of every one till now Pyar Kiya to darna kya ..conveys her integrity, charecter and dignity. No way the charecter is less in stature ..It is the good fortune if one gets such a role to play.

I completely agree with the thought that Sonarika did not suit the role. Some one who is fresh with no image would have done better. The innocence is missing though she tries hard. Sonarika is wonderful as Parvati and gorgeous in Prithvi Vallabh. But as Anarkali she is miscast. My view.

Mughal E Azam was a movie of 3 hours. There they showed the story directly and ended it properly. This is a daily soap which has to go on for many episodes.Had MEA been a tv show then Anarkali would have been turned into an abla naari in the long run who has to bear the brunt of being the centre of conflict between two men.
As far as standing upto the Mughal Badshah is concerned then the show hasn't even reached that part yet.She isn't even in love with Salim as of now. They have to drag the show for a certain number of episodes.

The problem is not there with Sonarika. It's there with the script and the execution style. All they need to do is improvise Anarkali's character and make it worthy of an actress like Sonarika.

Even Jodha Akbar did a better job with Anarkali's characterization though I disliked the Salim Anarkali track over there.
