I think three things it had were the reason it did so well and is liked my many.
(A) as Deepu said, the black pride thing was done very fruitfully and in an amazingly normal way, no forcing.
(B) Kill Monger was a great villain. A villain with whom people can sympathize and many may even consider following him.
(C) It looked great. The 3D effects were good.
Plus the movie wasn't bad, it was a nice time pass flick, which didn't got boring.
^ I really felt bad when kill monger died... wished they would save him with their superior technology.
