i think we are watching two different shows then. Thanks for ur view. He has said the same nonsense to nandini and mauli both with same conviction. Anyway he is an average actor. Handling complex characters is not his cup of tea Kunal proves it for sure. Chocolate boy roles are good for him

Kunal is appearing to be a difficult character. If it is not then shakti's expressions and actions as kunal would not be so confusing. A simple character is understood easily. Like Mauli. Mauli is a simple white leading character. That's why people also connect more with mauli.

But kunal? If he is so simple as a character then y so much confusing feedback like we can't understand his actions expressions etc? Hence that means Shakti even failed to portray such a simple character?

Nope, we are watching the same show. None of the actors or characters in this show are perfect. They all have their flaws as well as good points. I don't connect with mauli cuz she's too naive and bholi for me. Nandini is just too abla naari. And kunal is just so undecisive. I agree that Shakti is good for chocolate boy roles and I think Kunal is more of a chocolate boy type of character in my opinion. So that's why I feel like he's doing a good job.

Nandini solo scenes and her scenes with kunal, both are cringeworthy now, like no matter what, she is unbearable as a character to be taken seriously now, and when the female lead is hated so much nobody can help the show especially when she's being played by someone who is considered to be the biggest star in the show.

Silsila will always remain a popular case of bad actors chosen for a worse concept where the writers brought the worst of their already mediocre leads. Aditi being the exception does not help the show much since the show has lost the phase of earning viewers, now it is a lost cause.

I agree with you. But Shakti is really lost in between the two actresses. May be he can't take the backlash and this is affecting his acting or what i don't know but his performance is very poor as kunal. And that's why it's making kunal appear more douchey.

Honestly, I think everyone on this show has their moment of outshining who. These three actors are great actors. But Kunal and Nandini are very poorly written characters mostly Nandini. I'm beginning to accept that she's Bipolar.

shakti is not so great. He never did any challenging roles. He was decent. I loved him in matsh tho. Because the script was nice. But here neither the script nor the role is good. But kunal could have been pulled off more nicely. He seems weak in some scenes. I am not even able to get what should i understand by his expressions.

absolutely agree with u. That's the word. He is flat. Specially in the recent scenes he really is lost because he is a text book actor who has ran out of expressions. Hope he recovers soon and delivers some good performance. He is ok with scenes where aditi is. Other than that his emotions are unclear. Specially with Drashti it's very flat.

I was highly impressed with Shakti as Kunal in the first 20-25 episodes...once Kunal became obsessed with Nandini...his performance slowly went downhill. Even in those days, the scenes he did with Aditi where he was shown anxious and extremely clingy towards Mauli in order to curb his attraction to Nandini, he did very well...but since then, in the past 20 episodes at least...or maybe 30, he has been very bad...even yesterday his acting was just bland...flat...he seems so one dimensional...but I rly think he doesnt know how to portray Kunal...he cant relate, he can rly bring out those emotions...and I donthink even the writers are enriching these characters with the right emotions, he appropriate reactions...
